Does anyone check ESTA?

Some folk have reported not having to fill them in over the last few months - but this is inconsistent and seems to depend on the airline. It looks hopeful though that they are on their way out. The only thing that irritates me about these is that half the passengers don't seem to have a pen
Well we had to fill them out 3 weeks ago on Virgin, who also tackle the pen problem by giving everyone one in their in flight bag of things.

Cyrano flew just last week and he never had to fill in the green VWP form - so it looks like they are definitely on the way out :goodvibes

Funny thing about the pens in the flight bag - where do they all disappear to? I only notice this (and probably just pay extra attention to the odd person asking for one) because some years back, I think after 9/11 and before the liquid rules, I once boarded an international flight back to the UK and they were making everyone hand in pens at security. But when customs forms were handed out on the flight, nobody had one :rotfl: I am pretty sure there were no pens in the flight bag that time as I was REALLY annoyed that I coudn't do my crossword

Anyway, here's hoping the green forms are going.

Who did Cyrano fly with?
