"goodies" to give to CM's who go above and beyond ~ or to give in addtion to a tip? if so what do you bring? I was thinking of bringing something New Orleans'ish but I can't think of anything. any suggestions?

Pre-paid phone cards. If you are a Sam's club member the phone cards they sell there are cheap. It's something like 3.47 cents a minute.

A gift card might be a good idea...

I'm working at Circuit City (on Merritt Island) for the holidays (for extra $) and cruise crew members are always making big purchases there. Everything from portable DVD players and playstations down to camera batteries and film are purchased. It's not unusual to see someone buying $300 worth of DVDs! The few that I've had time to talk to say that it gets very boring on the ships.
