Does anybody remember when Fridays on the DIS used to be like

Cindy, it was a series of photos of Fox Mulder sporting nothing but a teacup covering his family jewels. I don't think I ever posted them here (did I?) If I didn't, then I sent out links. I got more than a few requests for those!

And I got a little teary thinking of Old Kicker's Friday Places thread. He is sooooooo missed, as are his wonderful threads.

Maybe it's better you weren't around Belle, for a while here on the CB, it was a virtual wasteland of deleted and locked threads! (and it wasn't because people were fighting!)

Yours truly here, believe it or not, started the Friday Men's Post, shortly after Lil' Mermaid started the Friday Ladies' Post. She asked me to do it and I did till there was a lack of interest and then Jerry took it up till he got booted. When BostonBill came back after being banned under that moniker and came back as ****, he picked it up first night here. At the risk of some people here saying, 'there he goes again' (I am just trying to time-frame something, come up with a new way of saying it and I'll use it ), those on the HB thought those two clowns were the same, hard to believe there could be two, though Jerry did turn out to be tame in comparison. Some unique evenings for sure, Blondie.

I must say though, after some tough times last summer here, much meanness and all, of late it seems to be drifting back to nice times of fluff and caring here. I like it.

I remember way back when, things would get downright silly here on a Friday afternoon. I think a lot of the old regulars were like me--we generally posted from work. So Friday afternoons were our last hurrah before the weekend.

I can remember more than a few Fridays where I didn't want to leave work at 4:30 because I didn't want to leave my computer too.

Those were the days on the DIS. Those were the days!

If the DIS boards used to be so great, way back when, then why don't you guys do something to make it just as great again.

You know what it was that made it so special to you, try to re-create it here for us newcomers.

If you show the way, then maybe more will follow and make the DIS boards more fun for everybody.

I'm not as old as some of the oldies here but I do remember a time when there was so much fluff in the air you could barely breathe. You were laughing too hard! And you could hardly type fast enough as you bopped from thread to thread...

...at least those are the days I remember. It's a different place these days from when I first delurked but that's ok too...things evolve.
