Does anybody remember Days Inn Motels?

Does anybody remember the Days Inn Motels? I remember staying in them a lot when we used to drive to Orlando from Pennsylvania in the mid 70's. Sometimes they were called "8 Days Inns." From what I remember they were basic motels.. cheap and clean. There was usually a restaurant that served decent food.

Did they go out of business?

See maybe that is where I get my love of staying off site. As a child going to disney in the late 70's I do remember staying at Days Inn and eating in the restaurant that served the coolest ice cream sundaes in the baseball helments. Now can anyone tell me that they remember "Show Biz Pizza Place" Now that is nostalgia.
