Does ANYBODY like "Stich's Great Escape"???

All of us-DH, me, DS3 and DS7 HATED it. On the way out we looked at everyone standing at least in a 20 minute line, and we were so glad we did it with a fast pass. We'll avoid it on all future vacations.

We hated it. The story line was boring/cartoon characters on a tv do not a good preshow make...the seats were uncomfortable/almost painful...the effects were dumb/burp smell lingered all day reminding us how awful the attraction is...overall, I just kept waiting for something to happen.

Every time we walked by to see people waiting 60 minutes we had to laugh and just felt bad for them.

What a waste...definatly the worst attraction at WDW...we will never go on it again.

Just because you didn't like it and will never ride it again doesn't mean that everyone else is wasting their time.

I like it. I liked AE a lot, but thought it was unappropriate for WDW. They didn't do nearly enough to let people know how scary it was IMHO (that being said, as an adult traveller without kids, I thought it was a great scary attraction).

I thought Stitch was a great way to tone it down. I think if you consider the character of Stitch, it is what you should expect... The burping and such, isn't that what you would expect from him?

I think the animatronics of the Stitch model are amazing, and perhaps the best we've seen from the Imaginears. He walks around the pedistal! I can't remember where we've seen that yet and in a decent flow. It's not as obviously fake as the pirates chacing/being chased by the women in PoC (and mind you, if I like Stitch, I love PoC).

I don't totally understand the dislike of Stitch, but I can understand saying it's a one-time attraction. I would suggest doing it at least once. For my friends and I that means one time a visit to WDW.

I did not like it, the family thought is was bad.

The chilli dog breath was gross. When we went it was walk on, I would not waste a fastpass on it or will not waste any more time on it.

YMMV

Make up your own mind though.

My DS(11) is a huge Stitch fan and acts just like him :confused3 :sad2: . He went on the ride with my DW and he loved it to the point where he wanted to do it again and again. My DW said once was enough. Especially since there is a spot where Stitch breaks out (just like Alien Encounter) but he eats a hot dog and burps in your face. DW said it was disgusting. I wouldn't do it as I don't like Stitch at all and I had read all the reviews so I knew what to expect.

I thought the chili dog was much more tolerable a smell than the stinkbug in It's Tough to be a Bug. The ride is nothing to write home about but I think it was a good way to tone down the original AE attraction. Stitch is supposed to be this loveable little brat and I think the attraction gets that across!

I haven't been down since this attraction opened...in 2 more weeks we will be HOME! But I don't remember even seeing ONE positive comment about the new STICH attraction.

DOES ANYBODY LIKE IT?

Why do most people think it is TERRIBLE?
I have read nothing but bad about tha STitch Ride. That being said... I dissuaded my daughter from going on it while we were there for 12 days because of what I read here

BUT MY DAUGHTER LOVED IT !!! I liked it too. We should have done it earlier in the trip.

My friends from the DIS said the harness doesn't get that tight if you put your fists on your shoulders when it comes down, so I did that.

This concerns me just a little. I can't stand the feeling that I'm pinned down - kinda makes me freak a little. Will I feel this way on this ride (I never rode Alien Encounter)?

We rode the ride last week and both of my children are big Stitch fans. So we waited in line about 30 minutes for them to ride it. It was horrible. Neither one of my kids liked and my husband said it was the biggest waste of his time. He would have rather stood in line for Buzz again and rode that. We Loved the Buzz ride!!

I have twin 6 year-old boys. They love it. We have to go on it every day that we are at MK. We either use a fast pass or wait until the line is short. I think this is definitely a little boy ride. Their favorite book is " Walter the Farting Dog ". They just love the burping. If it has a burp or a fart in it, my boys love it.

Here's what I do. I sit ram-rod straight not sitting back after the harness has settled, I relax. I started doing it like that when it was still AE, I hated the breath on my neck, still get chills thinking about it.
My DD12 and I enjoy this ride. We do it every trip (4 trips so far this year) and we notice they change it a bit each time. Its not as dark as it was when it first came out in November '04. I think everyone should at least try it and don't go based on what others say.

:sad1: We tried it on our May trip. We had read all the bad comments, but went with an open mind. I mean how many bad attractions or shows are there at WDW-to me not any. A bad day at Disney is always better than a good day at work-right? Well we stood in line about 20 minutes on an EMH night at MK. It was really bad! The story line was not really there, the special effects lame and the smell gross!! My 8 year DD loves Stitch, but she hated this ride. She got really scared when all the lights went off.

Definitely not worth the wait and will never do this again. But everyone has to try it one time or you don't understand what all the negatives comments are about.

:cool1: 201 days to we are at CSR (4 adults with no kids-woo hoo!)

My dd8 says:

I liked it. Even though you had to hold your breth in one part.

Mom edited to say that I did prevent her harness from pinning her in too tightly.

We liked it and did it twice. We are not sure what everyone was expecting and why they hate it so much. :confused3 If I have to pick a new ride that I feel was slapped together with no thought at all it would be Aladdins magic carpet ride its just Dumbo with carpets and a spitting camel IMHOP :rolleyes1

Yes I do. I like AE too, but it never scared me. I love horror movies almost as much as Disney. I think some of the dislike of Stitch is

1) He is pre Lilo (so very bad).

2) They wanted a new Stitch ride not just an overlay.

3) They loved AE so it is a cheapening of the ride, or they hated AE and it is still to scary.

These are my opinions only.

Ditto...my two boys DS (9) and DH (39) also get a kick out of these bodily tunes. Just seems crude to me. :sad2: I do think the Stitch attraction would be better appreciated by boys than little princesses.
