Does anybody know what is going on with Starcade?

During the holidays it was a meet and greet and now its closed for refurbishment. I read on another forum that it will be closed until December 31 #$%@!! And some people say its going to be turned into something else altogether. I've spoken with a few CM lately at the adjoining store and they don't know anything. On Disney's webpage it just says closed for refurbishment without any reopening date.

I really love Starcade. Its always been a nice break from all the noise and crowds at the parks. My wife and I would always go there after Space Mountain and play Galaga and Pole Position just like when we were kids Does anybody know anything about my beloved Starcade??

It opened up for a week after they removed the meet and greet area, and then they closed it again. I don't know what's happening but I miss playing air hockey!

Wait... isn't that where the Baymax and Hiro meet and greet were? Are they gone now?

The Big Hero 6 greet ended in early January. It's just a regular refurb that's supposed to end March 1st. The second floor, which has been closed to guests for years may be what's listed as Dec 31st.

I think you're thinking of the wrong park. They're talking about Starcade in California

Are the lines that bad now for Hyper Space Mountain?

We're having dinner at Pizza Port and the line for Hyperspace is currently 120 minutes. The people in line are watching us eat and we're watching them wait in line.

The last number times I rode space mountain in the last few months they appeared to be using it as a mix of storage and a break room. From the space line you can see into some of the upper parts in the windows that aren't boarded up.
