we always seem to be short of guest space and are thinking about getting one. Has anybody tried one of these? Are they even remotely comfortable? Worth the price? Any feedback would be appreciated!

We have one and it is very comfortable and easy to set up.:D Watch for sales....we got a twin for $49.00. They are alot more expensive on QVC. I know our local Sam's has a full sized one quite reasonable.

My brother bought one of the first models that came out. It was very easy to use and store, also very comfortable. He let one of his friends use/borrow it and the guy put a big hole in it. His friend tried to repair it, but the air kept leaking.

Then he bought another one, it's also comfortable and easy to store. The only problem (IMO) is that the pump can't be plugged into the outlet to inflate the mattress when you need it. You have to charge it for 24 hours (I think), then you can inflate your mattress. I don't think that's convenient.

I would get one with a pump that you can plug in to inflate, not the one that you have to charge. I think they're great to take on vacation or if you need an extra bed for guests.

DW and I purchased a Coleman camping airbed approx 5 yrs ago. Everytime parents or in-laws come we sleep on it. Comfortable and not a real bad night sleep. We also have the battery operated pump. We purchased it at Ames, which is now defunct. If memory serves me correctly total cost on sale was about $30. By the way it is the Queen size model.

Good Luck

We also have one (not Aerobed brand though) and like it. We also have the one that you have to charge the thing ahead of time - not good for last minute!

One thing I notice though is that I have to put a mattress pad or blankets underneath the sheets or sleeping bag that we're using. Otherwise it's really cold! Does anyone else notice this?

We bought an "aerobed" at Christmas time. I dont remember the name--its an off brand. We really like it. I paid $25 for a queen that comes with the pump. My 12 yr old slept on it and he really liked it. We plan on taking it to disney with us--less problems if my 12 yr old and 15 yr old dont sleep in same bed.
