Does anybody else skip the haunted mansion ghosts now?

I don't recall exactly when it happened (maybe around Halloween?), but I generally don't go into the mansion to click on the three ghosts anymore. They take so long to come out now! I believe vmk lengthened the intervals between ghost appearances. If I am looking for credits, I'd rather play a quick game of haunted mansion than wait for those ghosts! Anybody else?

I don't think I've collected from the ghosts (unless I happen to have to go to the rooms for some reason or another and they show up) since...maybe March? In the time it takes to collect from them, I could have half a game of Fireworks or Jungle Cruise done. -_-'

I never do it unless I'm really bored, or like LittleDragonErin said, in there anyway for another reason. Much easier just to play a game. It'd be different if it were easier to get to them and they came out more, but it's just a pain.

ditto. They became much slower when the new furniture came out, but I rarely went in there before that. Now I only go if I have a friend in a room so I can skip all the walking, lol. If they don't come quick I leave.

well i am not so lucky my computer/internet (sooooo...slow) at my school can't take the mini games..i can play mansion but it skips alot and i can have only myself on a team. OR i will get the dc. So i stop in there regularly just to get some sort of credits.

J-term is coming up means faster computer and internet! WOOT!

I only click on the NPC if I happen to be in the room at the time... I havent done a NPC run on Bears in a long time... I think during Ice month when they paids more... or was it just the music game that payed more... hmmm I did it, but now... for the 100 some odd credits you get for doing it... well I can win a game of Pirates faster and get more credits...

yeah I don't go into the mansion to collect from the three ghosts either. I should because it's a free 60 credits but it takes longer for the ghosts to show up now! I thought I was just being lazy but I see I'm in good company in skipping the mansion..

Me. I stopped going and getting them quite a while ago unless I was already in rooms for something else. It was too long of a process to go get each of them due to not being able to go directly to each room from the map.

Then they added the furniture into the rooms and the ghosts take much longer to come out. I am convinced that they don't like the furniture.

Now, I still don't bother unless I have to be in one of the rooms for something else. The only one I may get on rare occasion is Phineas since he's the first room.

If I'm looking to even up my credits for some reason, then I just crash Ned's boats. It's the same amount of credits and it's much faster.

I have debated it for some time, and discused it with others....many don't visit them. Fact is if you get them right away that 60 credits in I would say 2 minutes. It can take as long as 10 minutes, and if you get caught up with doing something it is easy to miss them. In 10 minutes many of us could haul in up to 1000 credits in games. So the time value isn't there. However, I have hever been one to leave money on the table. Often it is the only free moment I have in VMK so I continue to visit with my main character, but if I have any extra players in I pass. It takes only 2 minutes to get the first 5 and another minute to do the music room. If they made the ghosts a more permanant part of the rooms or increased their frequecy it would change somewhat the feelings on credits here, but you will still have to walk through the rooms.

I skip them too
it is quicker to play 2 games of skull rock and cash in the codes than goingh into those rooms - if they direct linked them to the map i migh consider it, but as it is, for 60 credits, even if the ghosts are all there, it take 10 minutes

I barely even visit the NPC's anyway, even when I am desperate for credits. I just stick to pirates. However if I happen to be in the emporium I click on Esmeralda if I don't forget about her. I only visit the NPC's including the ghosts when I have made a new mule and I go to the ghosts last because it takes so freaking long. I just dread the long walk which will tire my mule's little feet. They are usually there when I show up but not always. And sometimes when they are there and I click on them I don't get the credits and then they spin around and disappear and I have to wait. But like doc said, if it was on the map, I might consider it. Which reminds me, maybe teleport magic is a good idea to skip the walk. I do that whenever I am far from the exit to a room like the inner space shrinking machine in the area where you can go into the space area using your magic. But of course my mules don't have teleport and I probably won't be visiting on my main character and I don't want to go through the trouble of having two characters on at the same time. I only do that when necessary. But seriously, maybe teleportation magic is an alternative. But that's just a suggestion.

I still visit all of the NPCs. I do it when I first log on. I'm usually reading my email or something at the same time so I'd be distracted from a mini-game.

Right now I've been visiting them while I do the Christmas quest with my alternate characters. I start the quest when I enter the first room and am usually done before I get Gus. Then I stop by Emporium to buy a candy cane or a pirate depending on how many credits that character has. In this case, I'm usually playing pirates with drutdrut in another window.
