I didn't until I turned 40. Before 40 I would get a pain and think "I wonder how many days until this goes away." Now I get a pain and think "I wonder how many YEARS this will take to go away!"![]()
OMG! This is not me but 2 of my friends! One just constantly complains to anyone who will listen. The other is constantly going to the doctor for everything. I love them both but sometimes.....![]()

Well I can honestly say this is not me, but I am the op
For me, I dont complain to other people, Ijust obsess in my head about things..No, not the normal sniffles/allergy type things.. Also, I am not one to go to the dr either.. I mean i will sit and think and dwell on something for days, or even weeks before I may even "consider" it..

After I responded above I thought of something else that my hypochondriac sister used to do when she was younger. My mom had this American Medical Assocation book about all kinds of ailments. There was a section with all these flowcharts. It would start out something like "Do you have a headache?" and then depending if you answered Yes or No it would lead you to the next question. After answering multiple questions you'd arrive to a possible diagnosis at the end. My sister always thought she had some dreadful disease and would cry to my mom. I admit I'd look at the book too but I wasn't as paranoid as her. I remember my mom would check the bookcase to make sure the AMA book was there and if it wasn't she'd call out "Who has the book?!?".I don't know why my mom even had that book......

I think now a days the book is called "Google"
I have a tendency to look up all sorts of symptoms and such. Now, I dont go around telling everybody what I "think" is wrong with me..As a matter of fact, most people I know dont know I "obsess" about everything anymore.I hate going to the dr, I always feel like they dont take me seriously..and this is from somebody who barely goes once a year![]()
