DH & I are big coffee drinkers in the morning. Should I use coffee as a snack or is it better to pay OOP.
I am staying in CSR...do they have coffe pots in room? Should I just bring coffee with me and buy some milk?

I am assuming that there are small fridges in the room

We stayed at CSR last month. There is a 4-cup coffee maker in the room and they supply Nescafe. We brought our own coffee to brew but forgot coffee filters and had to use a napkin. Sometimes we ended up with a mess! :rotfl:

I did use snack credits several times for Cafe Lattes at the PM. They were really good. There was one time at Goofy's candy shop that I ordered a latte and dh ordered a flavored coffee that we were charged 3 snack credits because the flavor shot they added to his coffee was charged as a snack credit (value was 50 cents) :furious:. Since we were close to the end of the trip and still had lots of credits left, I didn't make an issue of it.

We ordered a Pressed pot of coffee at Kona Cafe which was the best coffee I've ever had. It was included on the ddp as a beverage. If you have an ADR there, definitely order the pressed coffee! :goodvibes

Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

Yes, there is a small fridge in the room. If you are bringing your own coffee, you'll also need to bring 4 cup basket filters. You can buy milk at the store at the resort. We found the quart of milk to be a better deal than the little 8oz. cartons.

By the way, CSR is a beautiful resort. Have a great trip.

I'm assuming that they provide hot beverage cups along with the resorts that supply the coffee pots? We are tea drinkers and I plan on bringing some with us in the morning. Can't image what I'd be like with out some caffeine. just curious otherwise I can bring some with us.

I think it depends on what else you might want to use your snack credits for. We always have snack credits left, so this past trip, we used them more frequently for drinks. We really enjoyed hitting the BW bakery for breakfast one morning and each got a coffee and danish - yumm!

How about the Kona Cafe quickstop place? Can you just get a cup of Kona coffee to go and use your snack credit there?

You could also invest in a refillable mug and then just fill it with coffee at your resort throughout the day.

Yes, they do supply coffee mugs. :thumbsup2

Bring your own coffee!!!!!!!!!!

DH and I substituted Excedrin for the Nescafe. :crazy2: Couldn't drink it.

I am thinking too optomistically about being able to fill a refillable mug with Kona coffee..and not just the nescafe sludge they serve at Captain Cook's arent' I?

I'm a huge fan of CSR and would LOVE to stay there again in the future, but it is a BIG ,s p r e a d o u t resort. That walk to Pepper Market can be a long (but beautiful  ) one. If you're someone who needs caffeine first thing in the morning, you may want to consider making coffee in your room.

I'm not sure about the exact price, I'm sure someone else can give you that, but it would be right around $13 or so :thumbsup2

We used snack credits for coffee. Good thing too, we still ended up with 10 snack credits left.
