I live in Fl.(everyone knows that no-where in Fl do they double coupons). Our youngest DD lives in Georgia, and she is expecting a baby in July. So I have been trying to teach her about coupon's. We are planning to go see her shortly, and I was planning on bringing my coupons along and taking her to the grocery store to show her how to use them.

So do you know of any stores that offer double coupons in the Metro Atlanta area?
And do they double at a value or only up to a dollar?
If so which ones, I like to have a game plan when I go.
I am not a extreme coupon user, I just like to save a little money on what I have to have.

Thanks

Both Publix and Kroger double up to 50 cents. Publix also accepts competitors coupons (I frequently use Kroger and Target coupons there). You have to use a shopper card at Kroger to get their sale prices, but they also use that info to mail out store coupons for products you use.

Not all Publix stores in Georgia double, unfortunately. It varies by region, I'm not sure about the Atlanta region specifically. One cool thing is that BOGO in Georgia at Publix doesn't mean you have to get both items like in Florida. Each item rings up at 1/2 price, which is great when you've got coupons or you only need one item.

Don't forget to check out Kroger's digital coupons you can load to your Kroger plus card on the internet.

I'm in the Atlanta region, and I can verify:

  • Publix, Kroger, and Ingles double up to .50.
  • Publix accepts competitor coupons
  • Kroger offers Cellfire coupons you can load on to your store card.
  • All stores allow coupon stacking (store and manufacturer's)
  • Publix will only accept Target coupons if there is a Super Target nearby.
  • Ingles will occasionally triple coupons, but you have to read the fine print. There is usually a minimum purchase for each coupon tripled.
  • For B1G1 at Publix, items ring up 1/2 price

It depends on the region......I've heard several people say in the Atlanta and surrounding areas that their Publix will not take competitor coupons or they won't take certain ones, w/ Publix it depends on the certain store itself. I know my Krogers and all the ones surrounding me in different counties do not take competitor coupons. Probably could help you better if we knew the county she lived in, or better yet the actual grocery store and address, someone here might shop there ;) But if I were you I'd just call them myself and ask :)

I worked at a Publix in Georgia for 5 years and a good tidbit of information that people typically don't know is that Publix will accept a competitor or store coupon and a manufacturer coupon for the same item! So you can use two coupons per item! You just can't use a competitor AND store coupon on the item. The other coupon must be a manufacturer!
Hope this helps!!
