does any other adult find Snow White scary?

I rode this for the first time with my DAunt (52), DM (54), DSis (31) and me (then 24) and I found it very freaky! I wasn't scared and didn't have nightmaries, by the way, but I can't imagine riding that as a child. Any other adults agree with me? How'd your kids do?

My bf and I rode it together for the 1st time and both thought it would be terrifying for a little kid- its like they took all the scary parts of Snow White and used them in the ride. Skeletons, alligators snapping, the evil queen. I went on it when I was 2 - I don't remember it but my mom said I screamed the whole time.

That ride absolutely terrified me as a child! The witch is so scary! I still try to avoid this ride. I didn't let my DD ride it for the longest time, telling her it was way too scary (even after she had ridden Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, and Rockin Rollercoaster). Well, she eventually got me to take her on the darn ride and then scoffed at me for finding it even remotely scary.

That was the original intent, actually. You were supposed to be Snow White - in the original version, Snow White didn't even appear. During it's rehab in the early 90's they added the painted snow white in the forrest (that lights up when the lighning flashes), the one at the door of the cottage, and the end scene and added "scary" to the title. Most people never got the fact that THEY were supposed to be Snow White, and complained she wasn't there (I guess it was too high concept, LOL).

Same here. I did it the first time at 7 and, even though I was the opposite of a timid kid and knew it was all "fake", it still scared the bejeebus out of me. It got me right from the start when the queen turns into the hag right before your eyes. I went back when I was 10 and did just fine (though I remember the iron grip I had on the car LOL).

SWSA really is a cool ride :) I actually prefer it most out of all the Fantasyland rides, even though it is a bit less advanced.

I remember being a little kid and being disappointed that Snow White didn't appear( since she didn't in the original ride), and terrified of the Witch. I was probably 4 years old then. She really did scare me, but that could've just been because she was the Witch that was out to get my beloved Snow White.

Snow White is fine, its Small World that freaks me out. I read that other post concerning ride breakdowns and had a cold sweat when someone said they stopped in the middle of SW for 20 minutes. Im sure that Small World is a goverment/Disney experiement in brain washing and mind control. That song is viral, you cant get it out your head. All together now,

It's a world of laughter
- A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
- And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
- That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

There is just one moon
- And one golden sun
And a smile means
- Friendship to every one
Though the mountains divide
- And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

Snow White creeps out DS14. It's the scene where the skeleton is still standing up, shackled to the wall. He says he can't get it out of his head once he sees it...what it must be like to just be chained up in a standing position...left there until you die, then until you rot away. It IS pretty creepy when you think about it; I bet the guys who designed the ride never gave it that much thought.

::MickeyMo The first time I rode it I was in High School. I screamed when the witch in the beginning turned around and she was the haggy witch. Totally wasn't expecting it. Now I'm used to it, but still! Scary! ::MinnieMo

Yes, I'm another adult who finds the Snow White ride kind of scary. I hesitated to say anything because DH makes such fun of me about it. I'd ridden it before it's makeover several years ago, thought it was scary then, and was really looking forward to riding it after they supposedly made it less scary. But my reaction? "It's still too scary!" DH says I'm a wimp, but I don't care-I'm disappointed. Sorry, we don't have any young children to tell you their impression.

Snow White is my favorite Disney movie...I just love the style of art and animation. They could make SUCH a cute ride - think of the style of Splash Mountain - it's such a shame that we are still left with the old scary ride.

I first rode Snow White as an adult in Disneyland and I thought "This is for kids?" I thought it would have terrified my then 3 year old.

Dinosaur - now that one terrrifies me....I ride the entire ride with my eyes clamped shut just praying that it's over soon. I know they're just plastic dinosaurs but I am scared to death!!!!

If you ask my DD(3) which is her favorite ride. She will tell you "Snow White's Scary Ride". She loves this ride, but she was VERY familiar with the story(from books) before she rode this ride. We also prepared her by explaining that it is all pretend and she should not be scared. That being said, she is absolutely terrified of the "Bear Show"(Playhouse Disney Live on Stage). Go figure. :goodvibes
