I dont know of the song, but that is my Godfathers name, LOL! Maybe he got the nickname "Pinky" from the song.

ON THE TV IN MAINE...I MEAN FOR KIDS...ALSO ANOTHER SHOW WHERE WE WOULD PUT THIS PLASTIC THING ON THE SCREEN AND USE BLACK CHALK AND DRAW WITH A GUY NAMED INKY DINKY OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.......THE GOOD OLD DAYS....HAHAHA

Another older than dirt person here. Yes I remember him and it was Winky Dink and You. I had the Magic Screen that you could draw on the tv with and the crayons. Loved that show.

friends....hahaha.......I also remember the first Romper room show.....she was to funny.....and then the magic mirror.....wonder what my grandkids would of thought of if they had seen these shows......I did get to meet Buffalo Bob and Clarabell and chief thunder cloud......they came to my grandmas restaurant and I got their autograph......now that I am old....can I remember where it is.....of course not.....

I remember watching Pinky Lee regularly (there weren't 145 channels back then) but I don't recall the song. I'm sure I would remember it if I heard it.

Winky Dink was a cartoon character with it's own show "Winky Dink and You." My brother (it could not have been me...) got in trouble for drawing on the TV screen without the cellophane.

I remember these shows like they were, well... the day before yesterday. Does that make me old, too?

Do you remember in 1954, he collapsed during the live show in what appeared to be a heart attack? It turned out he had a severe sinus attack, and people thought he died! He was forced to take a year off under doctor's orders and the show continued without him.

And yes, I'm that old too!!!

Of course I remember it! And my mother wouldn't let me have the magic screen--so I snitched some of her saran wrap and put it on the screen and drew on that!

One of my most treasured memories is before one of the Houston Rodeos in 1950, Roy Rogers was in the restaurant that my uncle and aunt took me to for my birthday (we were going to the rodeo after.) Roy saw them bringing my cake and he and Dale came over to my table and sang Happy Birthday to me! What a great 5th birthday! ! !

coming in on rabbit ears was the ultimate.......what a great birthday for you.........I would remember that too......my birthday note from Buffalo Bob and crew said to Pudgy.....yup that was me.......and my sister her birthday is a few days before mine.......but her nickname would not go thru the filter even though it is not dirty.....oh well
