I always clean the day before vacation or in this case the day off I don't know if this habbit is normal or not

I think it's normal, everyone i know does it. I especially like to make sure my sheets are fresh and that every stitch of laundry is put away so i can deal with my 'home from vacation' mess without leftovers from the previous week.

Normaly the night before becuse of the nevrvouse engergy however I am not leaving until the evening

Going to my friends to spend the night and tommrow is my first trip to the fort and I am so excited and nervous

I have a stong feeling I will not die however I am greatful for mike he is cleaning so I can focus on my HW

I do. My husband thinks I'm nuts. I dust, vacuum, mop the floors, change all the sheets and wash all the towels (if we have an early flight I do sheets & towels the afternoon before we leave, if the flight is later in the day, I do them the morning we leave). I want to come home to a clean house so all I have to do when we come home is unpack and start laundry

I do. I don't like to come home to a messy house-there is enough to do with the unpacking and laundry when you get home from vacation. Some of it is practical too-you don't want to leave dirty dishes sitting around for a week-that would be pretty smelly when you got home.

I do it too! DH thinks I'm crazy because, I change the sheets, do every single bit of laundry, dust, vacuum, wash the floors, scrub down the bathrooms, clean the inside of the fridge and microwave and make sure all the rooms are spotless. He says that he doesn't understand why I go crazy cleaning before we leave since no one is going to be home anyway. My explanation is that when we get home there is a ton of unpacking and laundry to do, the last thing i want to do is clean the house. It just feels good to come home to a nice clean house.

I clean before we leave, normally I have somoene coming over to feed the cats and don't want them to think we are slobs and I like coming home to a nie clean home.

I super clean before we leave for 3 reasons--

1- I like coming home to a clean house

2- I don't want the people that check on our cats to think we are total slobs

3- If something were to happen to us while we are gone I would be so embarrassed for anyone to come into our home if it was like it normally is

Absolutely! No one likes to come home to a mess.. When I leave the lake in November or so, I always clean first.. Of course I then clean when I come back again - as I'm unpacking - but it's only natural that after 5 months of being closed up there are going to be cob webs; dust; etc..
