Does ADR crunch ease up when free dining ends?

We are going in December when there is not free dining (I think). Does free dining make ADR's harder to come by? It seems like it would since people, who might not otherwise, are eating table service every day.

Usually. But there is a limited free dining for Dec.Some of us received person specific pincodes from Disney.

Overall it's easier. For example, I'm going next week, and I still am finding availability at most restaurants.

However, you still have some restaurants that pretty much always fill up.

UK free dining is until 17th December (we're going October 11th-20th and have it) but I think people here are less likely to know about the importance of making ADRs unless they use forums like this one
