does a deposit hold your reservation

This should be obvious, but I need to ask just for good measure... When I book a disney world vacation (disney resort/park tickets/dining plan) through the disney world site and put a $200 deposit down does this hold my reservation? Or is the room not held til its paid in full?

The deposit does hold your reservation, with the balance due 45 days prior to arrival .
