2 years ago we had our pool put in and we were going to add a deck..of course the pool cost way more than we thought so we have had a little delay on the deck! We are finally building it though, they are supposed to start next week. Here are some "before" shots...
The deck is going to be 42 feet long by 16 feet wide with mahogany decking and white railings

The mahogany sounds lovely. It's a shame that it won't be ready to enjoy during the heart of summer....:D

I think the deck is going to look lovely, looking forward to seeing the finished project.

Absolutely Alex, it's outside, when it's finished you can sit there and enjoy the scenery, maybe start up a few power tools.........:D

I'm sure it's going to look great, keep us posted on the progress!

......I am green with envy at all of the pool owning Buds......:D

hey Alex...the deck is going to be perfect and you will be surprised at how quickly it ges finished. Enjoy.

WOW Alex love the poole and the new deck is going to be fab.

One question where did you find mahogany decking ?

Mal

It's pretty easy to find around here.. some of the lumberyards carry it
It was actually a 1000 dollars less than trex, of course there is FAR more upkeep!

I can not wait to see the finished deck

And mahogany decking is just one more reason to visit Ma and bring the truck!

Anyway, congrats Alex on the new deck. It is going to look fabulous. I really am interested in what type of material you have surrounding the pool. It looks lovely. When I win the Mega Millions, I think I'll do my pool area with the same thing (whatever it is) and this way there will be no more uneven unconcrete and different colored patio blocks and unwanted stuff growing in open spaces and most important, NO MORE STUBBING OF TOES!!!!
