If you've arranged for you flights and transfers, then your document package should include:
-baggage tags
-cruise contract
-passenger info card
-stateroom charge account card
-bahamas immigration form
I think this is everything. I'm sure someone will add to the list if I missed anything.
You'll need the baggage tags even if you're handling your own luggage between the airport and the ship. You should put them on once you claim your bags at Orlando airport. At least before you give the luggage to the porters at Port Canaveral.
The cruise contract must be signed by everyone, it basically says that you don't hold
DCL responsible for anything, and you have to abide by their rules. The actual contract is the bulk of the documents packge. There's a single page which each passenger has to sign.
The passenger information card is just that. It includes name, rank, serial #, etc., as well as an emergency contact person. I think they also want to have your return transportation information on this card (flight #'s, etc.).
You have to have one stateroom account card filled out per cabin. It's usually a credit card # and signature.
The Bahamas immigration form is needed (I think) because the ships are of Bahamian registry, and by boarding your are, in effect, entering the Bahamas. You may need this because the ship stops at
Castaway Cay (and possibly Nassau), but I can't remember having to fill one of these out for any of the other countries where the ship has called, so I think you would need to do it just because of the ship's registry. (This last part is really academic--you have to fill this out or they won't let you on the ship)
If you have everything filled out prior to arriving at the port, check-in is a breeze, and only takes a few minutes.
