Want to have girlie weekend @ Disney in SEpt with SIL as thanks for all her help for my wedding! I have a passport... but she doesn't. What does she need to fly into states?

If she is Cdn-They recommend two pieces of ID-one photo government issued (ie. drivers license) and birth certificate.

Yup, we've been told just photo ID and the birth certificate are all Canadian citizens require to enter the U.S. A passport is the ideal way to go, of course, but not required.

I actually picked up a booklet put out by Immigration Canada (?) or at least I think that's who put it out. They are recommending passports for all Canadians visiting outside Canada including the United States although all that is required at the moment is two pieces of id. A passport proves that you are a Canadian citizen and therefore that you are entitled to return to Canada.

Get the passport...just makes life easier..:):)

You can pick up the application form at any post office and have it all filled out before you go to the passport office. They can have it back to you in 10 business days. You can also mention that you need it quickly and they can put a "rush" on it. We received the "rush" passport in about 4-5 days. HTH.

You can also get them online and if you pay by credit card they will have them at the Passport Office in a week (takes longer to process a cheque I guess). The only problem in the wait at some passport offices when you take your documentation to them.
