Hi,

What type of documentation is required for US Residents? I did call Disney and they told me I would only need a green card. But, when I check other travel websites or bulletin boards, a passport is needed.

Thanks! We will be on 1/8 cruise on the magic.

First welcome to the Dis boards.

I am unclear about whether you are a citizen. If you are then your birth certificate and picture ID will suffice. We have passports because it makes it easier.

If you are not a citzen then your passport and green card a required.

I'm not a citizen, hence we have a green card. Are you sure we need a passport also? I called Disney twice and they said only green card is required for US Residents.

I too have this dilema and am a canadian citizen but permenant US resident- so that i will not worry myself crazy about this i am gonna spend the $97 bucks canadian and get a passport this month- i always say better safe then sorry!!

edit: oh, i see you are traveling this sat, well i guess all you can do now is take your green card and hope for the best, maybe just bring any other ID you have that shows you live in the US- i would love to hear your outcome & am sending much pixie dust your way

My TA just called and she said if you are a US Resident, meaning you hold a permanent residency status, you will only need a valid green card. She had a Disney person specifically read the law to her over the phone.

that sounds fantastic= when you return will you let me know if you have any problems with this?- if its that easy then there is no reason for me to spend $100 for a passport

Just returned from 7 night Eastern. It was an amazing trip. Service and the entertainment exceeded expectation. Food was good some night while some nights it was average. They definitely need to improve the asian dishes.

For documentation, as permanent residence, we only needed our green cards.
