When I booked our room at ASMo I requested a fridge for medication, and CRO told me I would need documentatiuon from my Dr. What do I need? Is the medication enough or do I need a note? Last year at Pop I didn't need to show them anything, so I am a little confused. :confused3

I haven't heard of them needing documentation before, but I know at one time in the past, they stopped giving complimentary refrigerators because so many people were saying they had medication just to get a free fridge. After a little while of doing that, they started giving free of charge again.

You could try calling the Special Reservations number and ask them about medical refrigerators. I would imagine a note from the doctor that says you have medication that needs refrigeration might be best. If the medication bottle says on it that it requires refrigeration, that would probably do too.

Special Reservations Line: (407) 939-7807 - option 1

hiya

anyone know if its possible to get a fridge for free on grounds of 'medically necessary' for a child on a special diet?

joe is gluten, dairy, MSG, aspartame free as well as some other foods (too many to mention!) we'll need to bring most of his food with us and will need somewhere to store it.

If you are staying at a Home-Away-From-Home, Deluxe or Moderate, those resorts do have a refrigerator in the room without charge.

I have heard of people getting a free frig in the past for special diet. You could call the Special Reservations number listed already and see what they have to say if you are staying in a Value resort.

A few years ago we were staying at the a/s sports I requested a fridge ahead of time for my DS's medication I did'nt bring a Dr.'s note just his medication. While checking in there was a problem with my reservation we split up our stay by 2 ressies because of the season rate change while the woman was straightening it out she was on the phone with someone at disney discussing the problem as I was standing there she was sarcasticly discussing our fridge request and saying to other person can you believe it. She gave us the free fridge with a free attitude along with it, I showed her the medication and she could care less. My DS is no longer on that medication. If I was to do It again I would probably bring a Dr.'s note. That was my only experience with a crabby CM.

hi sue,
