document/luggage tag ??

we got our documents the day before yesterday for our aug 7th sailing on the wonder!!!!!! my question is this---we set up our own transport to the port (didn't use disney)........do we still use the luggage tags provided? i was thinking disney retreived all tagged luggage and takes it to the port---which would still be great,but i didn't know if that was just a service for the people using their transporatation....

You need luggage tags for the loading onto the ship, so yes you still use those tags for anything you are not caryying onto the ship.

If you are flying in, I would not put the tags on until you after you claimed your luggage at the airport. Then put the tags on and continue to the port.

If you have arranged your own transportation to the port, you claim you luggage at baggage check, take it to your transportation, and put your DCL tags on it there. You will need them on when you get to the port.

If you put them on before you fly in, DCL will claim your luggage. They WILL charge you if they catch you not having DCL transportation. That doesn't mean that they will always catch you, but....
