Doctor Who

I'm wondering, did you guys get the "in honour of Elisabeth Sladen" title card before the episode started? Or did you get the 15 minute tribute to her that aired after the episode?
We got the title card after the episode.

OK, the beginning of the episode really confused me. It doesn't start from the ending of the previous episode, but about 3 months on. Don't know if that counts as a spoiler, but I've whited it anyway.

The episode was pretty brilliant. That whole bit with Amy in the room and then after when the thingy is out... Yeah, that was suspenseful and sad... Oh, the ending! Wow, I wasn't expecting that. I must find out more!

Also, what's with the "I think she must be dreaming" person? That was weird... Apparently, the person is in other episodes to come, so it must be an arc of some sort.

It's been airing in the USA for quite some time now. It's only this year that the episodes are airing on the same day as in the UK, albeit a few hours behind. I would suggest starting with:

Rose (First episode overall since it restarted in 2005)
The Christmas Invasion (If you want to start with David Tennant)
Blink (My favourite episode. It's a "filler" episode, in that nothing really happens that impacts on the overall plot of the season, and the Doctor's not really in it much. But it's still an awesome episode. Actually, start with this. Now!)
The Eleventh Hour (first episode with Matt Smith as the Doctor)

It's going to make no sense at all if you start part-way through really. If you watched last week's episode, The Impossible Astronaut, then you would be extremely lost... And it seems like you were.

Ok basic reaction at my house from this episode was a lot of "What the heck?!?"-ing. It was really exciting, creepy, and awesome (especially when River and the Doctor were shooting all the Silents - I though that was BEYOND cool). But, like most people it seems, it left me so confused!!!!! My family tried to come up with some feeble predictions though:

-Amy actually was pregnant and had a kid, but between the Silents erasing memories and jumping around in time, the current Amy forgot about it
-The kid at the end who regenerated was actually Amy's child, having the powers of a time lord due to her being in the TARDIS during her pregnancy (better than a time head I guess) :rotfl:

As for the whole "Doctor died" thing and who River Song really is and the creeping "she's dreaming" lady, we have no idea and I can't wait for the next episodes to find out!!!

OK, Last episode was epic! Definitely a favourite of mine now.

I mainly bumped this up to discuss matters on something you guys don't have on the BBC America website. That is to say, there is a mystery afoot! I'll discuss it in the next post, because this will be post 75, meaning a new page will be started after that. You know how it is...

So this mystery. After each episode has been aired, the Doctor Who website updates with things like trivia from the episodes, new behind the scenes footage, etc. However, we're also recieving a hidden message from the trivia. Here are the messages:

The Impossible Astronaut - All the secrets you seek can be here on the Webb (web)
Day of the Moon - We found your message! You're alive! But what secrets d'you mean my friend?
Curse of the Black Spot - I mean I glimpsed him! And may the gods help him or perhaps you can
The Doctor's Wife - To see what I saw, click on the spot beyond the Doctor's home planet

In the last bit of trivia, it mentions Gallifrey, and you click on the full stop next to it, which brings you to this video:

Very interesting indeed. What does this all mean?

...I'm so confused. I NEED ANSWERS.

I'm sticking with my theory/hopeful idea that the girl who regenerated is Amy's daughter and she's a Time Lord (Time Lady..?) because the Doctor's her Dad. Of course I'm most probably wrong but eh. I'm sure it's something obscure none of us could've guessed, knowing this show..

Something I found on a different forum.

A 6th person on the beach (behind the shack)? Did anyone notice this before-hand?

Reminds me of how in the Weeping Angels episode last year you see a scene where the Doctor has his jacket on even though he'd lost it earlier and it turned out it wasn't a continuity error but when the Doctor went back through his life in the last episode. Sneaky Moffat.

Was the shed the one by the red car on the beach??? I'm re-watching the episode and I can sort of see it now. Or was that just part of the car in the background? It almost looks like it could be both! But from looking at it when River is shooting the spaceman going back into the water, it looks like a bag or just camera stuff from the Who Crew. Or am I just missing something that others are seeing plainly???
