We are headed for our thrid trip in December 2010 for DS birthday and his first trip. The 2 other times we stayed at Port Orleans(DDs 15&11) and Wilderness lodge (DS9&DD8) This time we are lookin at Carribean resort. I belive that is located near EPCOT, corresct?

Would this work for transportation, so we wont be on busses the whole time. If we take the bus to EPCOT could we then take monorail to MK (by way of transfer center?).

Also if we choose to have eat at the GF, how would we get there from our resort.
Will this work, thanks a bunch i know the dis knows all.

I think that's a good idea! I'm not too sure about the location of the resort to Epcot, but if it is close, that would work. Taking the monorail from Epcot would take you to TTC and you could get off and change to the monorail that goes the the resorts and that would get you to the Gf. I don't think there is a monorail that goes from Epcot to the GF. I can understand why you would want to avoid the buses! they are sometimes convenient, but crowded! :thumbsup2

There's a direct bus to MK from CBR that will be much, much faster than bus to Epcot > monorail to TTC > monorail to MK. Remember, you'll likely be waiting for a monorail at Epcot, then waiting again for a monorail at TTC.

I'd guess the bus to monorail route would take about a 45 - 60 minutes as opposed to about 15 minutes for the direct bus to MK.

To get from CBR to GF, I'd take the bus to MK, then take the resort monorail or boat to GF.

It will take you more time to bus to Epcot get on the morail and then change at TTC to get to MK then it would to just ride the bus to MK.:confused3 I don't see why you would want to do that

Yes you could but it would take a lot of time. It would probably take close to 1 hour to do that, while taking the direct bus would take around 15 minutes. If you really want to use some of the other forms of transportation, then schedule meals in some of the other resorts, then a transfer is required.

To get to the Grand Floridian you could do a number of things.
1. Take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, then take
a. a boat to the Grand Floridian
b. take the monorail
2. Take the bus to Epcot, then take the Monorail to TTC, then switch monorails to get to the Grand Floridian

The first option would be quicker, though boat vs. monorail might be debatable.

CBR got buses to all locations including DTD. It is closer to Epcot but you will not win much time by transfering, just wait for MK bus. BTW, if you did not book prefered room, ask for Aruba 51 or Jamaica 45(if I am not mistaken numbers). Those buildings right across a bridge connecting you to main area, less walking. Check map when you check in, it is under glass at the line entrance just to make sure I gave you right numbers(I do not remember for sure).

Just an overall look-

CBR is designated as "E1."

I guess I really didnt think of the length of time. I assumed it would be faster to get to the Monorail. But a direct bus to MK would be faster. I know he will want to ride the monorail. Thank you all.
