Our beloved Boo, our big 100lb. lab mix whom we had to put to sleep four years ago
loved big rawhide bones. But before she'd eat them, she'd stand in front of you with it in her mouth, prancing and wagging her tail until you took it out of her mouth and pretended to take a bite! We'd say, "Mmmmm, Boo, it's soooo yummy!" Then we'd give it back to her, and she'd run upstairs and start chewing on it. She wouldn't budge until she "shared" her bone with you!
Our long-gone
cat, Misha, had a drinking-straw fettish. If you had a straw in your drink and left it unattended for a split second, he'd run up and steal it and put it in his food dish. Only straws, never anything else.
Our 11 year-old Chihuahua, Cookie, has so many quirks that she's on anti-anxiety medication (Puppy Prozac). She has a series of rituals that she does in a certain order before she goes to bed for the night!
