Do your kids fight?

<font color=navy>My brother & I used to fight all the time, & we're still not close.


My own two are 16 & 15 (older brother/younger sister), and they have always got along very well. One of my greatest joys is to hear them in the other room laughing and laughing (it's usually my dd laughing at something her older brother says).

Mine are all about 3 1/2 years apart, (girl, boy, girl), and they fight all the time. They really don't have anything in common, especially the girls since they are almost 7 years apart.

Okay should I worry my 12 & 15 don't argue or fight. boy & girl. Yet, my 12 & stepdaughter who is 12 bicker all the time, but also get along great. I worry that mine don't fight, it just doesn't seem normal.

I guess I'm in the minority. My oldest 2 were 18 months apart then the next one came 22 months later. They rarely fought when they were little. Now the oldest is off in the Air Force and the next two are 16 and 15 and they still do not fight. Sometimes they will get a little pissy with each other but no yelling or name calling ever. They really get along.

I then have an 8 year old and a 3 year old. The younger terrozies the older one endlessly. Mostly whining to have what he has, or play what hes playing. But thats about it. The 8 year old never argues with anybody.. he just kind of gets tired of the little loud one following him around.

Girls are 20 and 18...still fight....but, thay can fight all day....and, even tho they each have their own rooms...they will still sleep together around 5 out of 7 nights a week!

DH and I never fight, really, never. We rarely raise our voices to each other. I keep asking my kids......"you never see us fight, so where do you get it from?"

My girls would fight. It didn't have to be about anything at all.

My 8 y/o DS is mean to my 2 y/o DS all the time. Then the 2 y/o wants what the 8 y/o is playing with so they fight there too! Drives me crazy too but then I just take the toy away altogether so no one is fighting over it!!

One day we'll laugh over these times......(I hope!)

Boys - 8 and 10 - and yup, they sure do. Usually the older one starts picking on the younger one--knowing that the younger one has a nasty temper. I won't bore you with the goury details, but it drives me crazy. Because I usually don't witness the start of the fight, I can't play referee or judge.

BUT, many times I have gotten involved and punished one of them, and the other one sticks up for him. I guess their motto is "Just because I love him, doesn't mean I like him."

Barb, did you kidnap my boys????

My boys are actually best friends......but they have to torture each other daily. I usually just send them both to their rooms or take away their electronics - boy, does that get their attention.
