Do your days have to be consecutive?

We are planning on staying at the CBR for 10 nights. In the middle of our stay, we wanna take a break from the parks and go to Kennedy and the beach for a day and maybe just lounge for a day at the resort. My question is, when we purchase a 7 day ticket, do our park visits have to be consecutive? Do the tickets expire seven days from when you purchase them?

If you buy the tickets that expire, they expire 14 days from the first day you use them.
