Do your children Bring Friends to WDW?

When we invite someone somewhere then we pay for everything. Airfare, food, hotel, tickets, whatever. We take a friend of DS's every year skiing. We get the boys their own room and also pay for the friend's lift ticket. He even gets a room charge so he can grab a a bite to eat if he is hungry. It is so nice for the kids to have a friend along too. I can't wait to take DD's friends to WDW. I'll do the same for them.

I'm 34 now, but as a child growing up about two hours south of WDW, my mother took my brother and I several times a year, and we were always welcome to bring a friend. If we could all squeeze in wherever we were staying, my mom paid for the room. If we would need separate rooms, then she would split the cost of the room with the other parent(s).

The friends would need to bring their own money for food, tix, souveniers, etc. Basically my mom provided a ride, supervision for the friends and possibly a bed depending on where we stayed.

FWIW, it was the same when I went with my friends' families over the years.

This past trip one of ds friends came along with us, this was his 1st time! His mother paid for flight, park tickets, & he had plenty of extra money for souvies. We went during free dining, so food was not a problem. His mother was very excited for him to join us, she said this would probably be his only chance. We all had a wonderful time & I do hope he gets to return at some point.

It depends, if I invited the child then I pay for everything except spending money (souveniers ect.) If the child's parents asked me to take the child then I'd expect them to pay airfare (if required) and tickets.

In August we let DD (10) bring a friend with her. We paid for everything. We used FF miles for her airline ticket, and we paid for her meal plan and park tickets. Her parents gave her money to use for souveniers. We're vacation club members so our accomodations are already taken care of. :cool1:

Here is how we are doing it when my sister comes....

Hotel is paid for by us
WDW ticket paid for by us

Airfare by Sis ($150)
Food by Sis (either Dining plan or not she hasnt decieded, her decision dictates our room plans) ($ 250)
Souvie money by Sis
