Do young kids like Test Track?

My boys are 3 and 5 and both will be tall enough to ride TT. When I rode it last time it seemed so tame. (maybe it is b/c I am comparing it to tower of terror). My youngest is a little timid, but loves race cars. I am thinking the ride wouldn't be too intense for the little guy. What do you think? Did your little ones like it?

When we went in 2004 with the extended family, my 9 & 11 year old nieces loved it. So did their 4 year old cousin. It is a fun ride without being too extreme!!

My 6 year old DD just started doing Test Track. She still doesn't really like the fast lap at the end. There was no way she would do it at 3. Why don't you let him decide after he sees the cars whiz by over his head?

My son went for the first time when he was 4yo and he loved it!

My daughter went at 3.5 and and loved it. She rode it twice in a row.

When my DD was young she chicken out because the pre show scared her, but later on we talked her into doing it and it was her favorite ride. The only part that scared her then was when you think your gonna get hit by that truck. But now she loves the ride.

We took my niece when she was four and back again when she was five.

The first time Test Track was her favorite, her last trip this past May TOT was the new fav.

DD14 has always loved it, since its opening, its her fave thing at EPCOT. A fairly severe family argument came of her wanting to wait on line to ride it a 3rd time (in a row) and a certain other fam member didnt want to...

That is my DD's favorite ride. She is 6 and she first rode it when she was 5. Loved it.

My older DS has ridden TT multiple times ag at age 3, 4, and 5 and has loved it every time. Younger DS just went on it for his first time, at age 3, and also loved it. We rode it many times on our recent trip. The only part that concerns both kids a little is the "heat test" part--I just tell them it's "like nice warm sunshine on the beach, for just a minute" whenever we are in that part and they do just fine.
The only other caution for little kids would probably be the loudness when you first arrive at the TT building; it can scare kids off before they even get on the ride. The cars whizzing by out front are VERY loud. The queue area also has some sudden loud noises ("crash tests"). My first DS is not a fan of loud noises so we cover up his ears out front and while waiting in line and that helps.

Also, one thing to note is try to not to put the little ones in the middle seats. they don't have the shoulder harnesses, just lap belts in the middle and my DD8 didn't feel as secure with the restraint as everyone else.

My 6 year old nephew rode it last week when we were there and he loved it!

Be careful with that one, chances are the CM will make you put the little ones in the middle for safety. I am sure that the youngest kids (probably the 3-6 age bracket) have to sit in the middle. I might be wrong on that, anyone remember?

My DS5 loves this, his favorite thing to do at Epcot. He loves the fast lap at the end the best. He first went on it at 3. What he isn't so keen on is the noise when the car goes through the testing bits. He covers his ears.

My 4 year old (will be 5 in Dec) is 44 '' tall & I let her ride in early October. She loved it & we ended up riding TT several times.

Our son went on in May when he was 3 yrs 11mos. Test track is the one ride he tells us he wants to go on when we go back later this month.

He's a kind if timid guy as well, but he loves cars so this ride was right up his alley.

My niece and nephew both loved it!! Infact this last trip they were telling me that they were "adrenaline addicts"!!! :rotfl: My niece is 4 and my nephew is 5, just becareful when buying the ride pics, if you're into that, kids dont show up so well....

Yep, that's really true. You can never see my DS if he is in the back seat. If he is in the front you can just about see him, but he has his hands over his ears because of the noise! I'm always kind of disappointed not to get a picture for that ride.

My dnephew is 6 and is expressing some reservations about going on this ride in December. I actually think it is my fault--he really likes Star Wars, and a while ago I told him the last part was kind of like a pod race. I think this image was a little too intense for him, and now he thinks it goes REALLY fast. My dsis and I have talked to him about it, but he still seems hesitant. Hopefully he'll change his mind, because I think he'll really like it, but if not, there's always next trip. I certainly am not going to force him on!

My dniece age 4, on the other hand, can't wait to ride. She just made 40 inches a few weeks ago, and tells everyone that her first ride is going to be Splash Mountain at MK, followed by Test Track at Epcot!

Our 4yo loved Test Track. Of course he also insisted on doing the Tower of Tower twice and wanted to do it a third time :smooth:
