I am so used to wearing make up for work, I always feel "naked" without it. It's so hard to break the habit. Plus, I'm reaching the 50 mark so.......my complexion just doesn't look like it did in my 20's. I hate it when my make up just melts off in the sun! I just love the raccoon eyes I have getting out of the pool!! :earseek: What do you wear?

I work in the school systems and have the summers off. I rarely wear any makeup during the summers. On vacation I will wear makeup at dinner.

I generally won't put on more than some mascara in the daytime (waterproof is a must) and then I get "made up" at night before dinner.

Light daytime makeup, a bit more made up for dinner.
I use no foundation on a cruise--that's what a tan is for!

I wore just my regular everyday makeup. It's just a habit to do in the morning. Just wear waterproof mascara! I'm about your age too.

I don't mess with makeup when not on vacation. On the cruise we like to get our family pictures taken before dinner so I do put on makeup then.

Me too...during the summers I just don't see the need. On vacation it all depends on my mood.

I usually, but not always, wear it to dinner and after...Never do i put it on during the day, I can not for some reason :confused3 wear waterproof mascara, or I would..

I get my eyelashes permed and dyed black before I go away..It is so neat, and lasts several weeks, a little less with the swimming..I have dark eyelashes anyway, and they are quite long, but with the dye, and the curling, is FUN..... cost is 40$...

Not a bit!!! Well, maybe some Burt's Bees colored lip gloss, but that's more likely because my lips will be dried out from the sun!!!

I don't wear makeup normally. But, before family pictures, I'll put some on. That's about it.

I don't normally wear makeup but I do wear a tinted moisturizer with spf15 everyday and also chapstick, sometimes with a tint. If I am going to be in the sun or at the pool, I will wear my untinted stuff with spf.

I've never heard of this. Sounds like something I'd be willing to try. Is it done at a salon???? Anyone know of a place in NE Pennsylvania that offers this service????

I'll put some on for dinner most nights. I don't usually wear makeup at home, so it's kind of fun to go all out on vacation. I don't do it during the day, though. It would come off in the pool, or get sweated off, etc.

My estitician (sp) does this...When I was getting waxing done last year she mentioned it, and I was hooked..

Only when I look in the mirror in the morning and a scary person looks back... :rotfl: and then just a little.

Since I have very fair skin, I usually wear makeup with a sunscreen to keep from turning into a lobster. We're talking 5 minutes worth, including the time it takes to put in my contacts.

I wear makeup every day when working (I'm a teacher) and rarely wear any during the summer--that's part of being on vacation for me! I did put some on before dinner on the formal nights & for Palo, but that was it! We didn't get formal pictures taken, but I was dining with two younger, attractive women (sis & her friend) so I didn't want to look like a complete hag! ha

How about some tinted moisturizer? That's what I use. I mix a little dab in with my regular day moisturizer and use it as a light foundation. This way you get a little color, coverage and with mine sunscreen, spf15. It soaks in and doesn't feel heavy. It is good for your skin too. Most department stores makeup brands probably have one. I use Laura Mercier.

Not during the day. I will put on mascara and lipstick for dinner. Don't need anything else as the sun has taken care of "healthy glow"
