Do you watch any American tv programs?

Belle 2003 just asked over on the community forum if anyone watched brit tv so thought I'd reverse it and ask over here. do you watch american made shows? any favorites? is there a channel there devoted to them or are they spread out? here we have bbc america & pbs

I watch too many American TV shows!!! My favs are The West Wing, 24 & Lost.

Yes we watch loads of American TV programmes. I can't miss 24 (which is so far brilliant) and then there's the old faves like Will and Grace, Friends etc. I also like some of the kids programmes like My Wife and Kids and Thats So Raven - they are so funny

American shows tend to be spread out over the different channels and I watch far too many of them. My current favourites include Desperate housewives, ER, Joey and Las Vegas. Past favourites include Friends and the x files. I love Stargate SG1 and Atlantis although they are Canadian. Oh and the Simpsons seem to appear on our screen a lot too, although DH watches that!!

Yes I definitely watch them - they're GREAT!!! Loved Friends SOOOOOO much!!! Also Frasier and the X files. At present I'm enjoying Joey and Two and a Half Men and of course Desperate Housewives - brilliant!! I also love those rather gory ones on Discovery Health - Trauma and Dr G Medical Examiner and The Operation - love a bit of blood and guts as long as they're not mine!!! Oh, and the E! Entertainment shows. And Scrubs.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer! I cried when she died at the end of season 5! (sad I know)

Oh yes - I forgot about Buffy - that programme was SOOOOOOO good!!!!! Don't worry ely3857 - that's not sad - what's really sad is someone not a million miles from me who sets the video to record Sunset Beach so she doesn't miss an episode!!!!! (Sorry babe!!!!! )

The Sopranos is a must-see programme, Star Trek stuff used to be but its gone down hill in the past few years with Enterprise. Apart from that, The Simpsons and the copious amounts of American sports keeps me happy.

Can't think of a single American sitcom that I'd deliberately watch, Police based series haven't been the same since Miami Vice and as for 24 - that's just daft & dull! The West Wing? It's so far to the left in being morally and pollitically correct I feel physically ill watching it!

Desperate Housewives (fantastic programme) and Point Pleasant are two recent additions to our weekly viewing! We also watch loads of Friends, Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama and I used to be obsessed with X-Files. Housemate watches lots of Star Trek. I'm a big Buffy lover too, hope Sky 1 bring it back soon, would really help over the coming Easter hols!
