Do You Wash Your Hair Everyday?

I can very rarely skip a day of washing my hair. Most of the time I wash it every day in the shower.

When I worked and my hair was a little shorter I washed it every other day. Now it's usually every third day. But it also depends on what is going on as well. And more frequently in the summer.

All of us here wash everyday from the 2 yr old to the 35 yr old! I just feel gross if I don't and the girls get sweaty and stinky playin in the summer, and we always wash after swimming too (no green hair thank you) . Anyway sometimes in the winter the girls will go everyother but for DH and I everyday.

I wash my hair every other day but that does not mean I do not shower, I still shower daily. I doubt you would be able to even tell which day I washed my hair.

The day I do not wash my hair, I still wet it down, possibly condition or leave in conditioner and still use style products.

When I am on vacation though, I do wash my hair daily if I have been swimming or out in the sun a lot.

I wash my hair every day, sometimes more than once a day. I can't get away with going longer than a day without washing, my hair is just way too greasy!

I have to wash my hair everyday or I just don't feel right. My hair is normal to dry but if I dont wash and condition each day it makes me not feel right I guess since I shower everyday, washing and conditioning my hair is just part of my routine. I can't remember the last time I didn't wash my hair

I have oily hair. If I didn't wash it every day, I'd look awful that next day.

I had a roommate in collage with very think curly dry hair, she washed, dried, and straightened her hair once a week.

I wash it every day...for a while there I was trying to go every other day but that was when it was longer and I could just throw it up.

I do hate, hate hate to style it so I shower and then do some stuff around the house to let it air dry for at least a half hour, then I dry it. It cuts alot of time off the fixing. But again, I do not go anywhere so most days I dont care what it looks like!

I have to wash my hair daily, well I don't have to, but if I don't it's nasty. Even when we go camping I want to wash my hair every day! I have very oily hair and if I don't wash it daily it's just gross.

I wash mine twice a week. I have thick, long hair that goes down to my butt so I can't wash it more often without it drying out. It usually looks best on day 2 and 3.

I always thought most shampoos are too harsh but didn't really know what to do about it. If I use anything but Finesse moisturizing formula my hair dries out ridiculously within a week. I recently read a book called Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey. She talks about how to take care of curly hair but most of her advice is good for anyone. She recommends ditching shampoo entirely I can't quite bring myself to do it so I use just a smidge of shampoo every day on my scalp, followed by conditioner on the ends. This way I still get to smell the fresh scent of shampoo but it's not so harsh on my hair. She recommends baby shampoo or just rinsing with conditioner (which actually has mild cleanser in it) so I may try that when I use up the bottle I'm currently using. She also gives "recipes" for hair cleaning products you can make at home. I tried lemon juice mixed with conditioner. It was weird because there was no lather, but my hair looks great when it dries and smells fresh and clean! I have been doing that once a week for a few months. I am not quite brave enough to try to just rinse with conditioner or plain water. I never want to risk it going wrong if I have to go out and it always seems I have to go somewhere! So, I put "other".

I wash my hair 2x a week but condition almost everyday at least every other day. With all my crazy curls it needs the moisture and my hairdress keeps putting the smack down that washing my hair will take the moisture out. My hair usually looks better the next day also. I don't even own a hairdryer. I'm so envious of those hair dryer gals that can blow dry and go.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Then again my friends are jealous that I can wash, product (gel etc) and wear. I guess we all want what we don't have.

I don't wash my hair everyday and you wouldn't have a clue. Not washing your hair is quite different from not showering.

I voted other, I wash my hair weekly. I wet it down every am, and of course bathe or shower as needed .

You would certainly notice if you were close enough, it sure wouldn't smell nice and fresh
Washing it once a week your head would stink for sure, you may not think it looks like you need to wash your hair but it would have an odor!

This applies to everyone. I don't care how nice their hair may look when skipping a day or two, if I'm next to someone, I can smell they didn't wash their hair. It's just gross! A girl at work was saying she didn't wash her hair everyday, and I could tell. Following her back to my desk there was that odor of dirty hair trailing from her.

Washing it once a week your head would stink for sure, you may not think it looks like you need to wash your hair but it would have an odor!

I only wash mine twice a week and I guarantee you that my hair doesn't smell bad in between washes...maybe if someone sweats a lot everyday then yes...but just normal activity should not cause your hair to smell if you do not wash it every day...
