Do you want to/need to see Bin Laden's body?

I know there are already pictures circulating on the internet of Bin Laden's body. Do you want to see Bin Laden's body? Is it morbid curiosity? Or do you need to see Bin Laden's body to make sure it's him and that he is really dead?

For me it would be morbid curiosity, but Honestly I have mixed feelings about it. Firstly, if it's gruesome, I don't want to see his or anyone's body. But the mixed feelings come in because, even though I cheered when I heard the news and put out my flag, I don't want to become a person who wants to look at dead bodies and say YEAH!

That said, if I hear it's not gruesome, I'll look if it comes my way. I won't go looking for it, though.

I do not need to for my own sake, but I can see why others do. If for example I had lost a loved one on 9/11 or in one of his other masterminded attacks. And if I was in charge of such decisions, I'd want to release those photos so that he can't be the next Elvis type legend, with people assuming he's still alive. Let them (his followers and admirers) see what happens to terrorists.

I'm watching the live news right now and they said Pakistan has already showed photos of the body on their TV, that it's gruesome, he was shot in the head and that Navy Seals gave him a chance to surrender but he chose to "resist" (what they mean by that I don't know).

Anyway, I'm sure I don't want to see his body now. Gruesome gets to me. I remember when I saw the bodies of Saddam's sons...it wasn't pretty and it bothered me.

I think in this day and age, it is going to be difficult to avoid seeing it. Pictures are circulating all over the internet. People are tweeting the pictures. There is talk about the government releasing official pictures like they did with Saddam Hussein and his sons. I really have no desire to see "faces of death". I'm apprehensive to check my Facebook for fear that some idiot will have the death pictures posted.

Have they taken samples for dna testing because its going to need that before his followers believe it. Even then Al quaeda will go on with a new leader so its not going to make any difference. If anything disposing of the body without pointing out that the corpse is proved by dna is his was a mistake. There will now be so many nutcases claiming to be him, with a body they could say look here it is here is the dna its him, mind you in the real nutcases mind he is now a martyr which is what he wanted.
