In all seriousness though my pajamas are more of a t shirt and shorts that look like running clothes so I do wear them around at night but my winter fleece pajamas I wouldn't

I consider wearing a bathing suit by the pools a little different than wandering the ship in your pajamas. Hopefully you're wearing a cover-up over the bathing suit while walking around the ship (other than the pool area). For me, it doesn't have anything to do with being more covered up in pajamas, it's about ettiquette. Just like (I hope) most people wouldn't wear a bathing suit in the MDR's, I wouldn't wear pajamas outside my room. I have no problem with yoga pants and a fitted t-shirt, as long as there are undergarments included. Flannel pj's with little yellow duckies on them are another story.

So is it the design that sets it apart on what's acceptable vs not? So if someone's pj was simply shorts and a t shirt is that any different than workout gear? Or someone wearing black cotton pants (jogging pants) vs bright blue with clouds cotton pants to sleep.... Seems like to much to worry about while on vacation, as long as it's not offensive don't think it would bother me if someone ran up to the drink station in the morning, or jumped out of bed and went for a jog around the ship.... Now if it was like at noon at lunch I'd just point and laugh but that's on them if they really want to spend the entire day in the same thing...

No... but its more about the smell and how I look/feel than any fashion sense. Count me in with the shorts or flannel pants crowd too. I have done it at home through a drive through at Starbucks a couple of times when I have been very ill and no coffee was in the house though! Even though they couldn't really see me except for my hoodie and my hair was in a hat I was still very embarrassed!

I'm pretty sure I did on he Wonder to walk from our room on Deck 2 to the laundry. My PJs are cotton capri pants and a tshirt. They don't really look like PJs and I am fine with wearing them out of our room.

I have not, but I have seen people walking around in Cruise Line bath robes. I have seen this behavior on DCL and RCCL. I am talking about AM behavior, getting coffee.

I guess that would depend. Do you mean what I lounge in the room in, or what I actually wear to sleep? What I lounge in, yes, I have gone and wandered the upper deck in, late in the evening. It was a pajama short and tank set. Probably had a bra on too, don't remember for sure.

I don't think I'd wear obvious sleepwear anywhere in public. Most of the time, though, I sleep in cropped yoga pants and a t-shirt. If I were going to go outside of the room, I'd first put on a bra and proper shoes and brush my hair. I wouldn't just throw on a robe and wear slippers over my sleepwear.

YEP! All the time... But my Pjs during a cruise are yoga pants and a ling sleeve tshirt .I take my UGG slippers and that is what I put on after dinner and its comfy.

I wouldn't be caught dead! Even if the ship were sinking in the middle of the night I wouldn't come out of my room in my pajamas/sleeping clothes.

Considering my "pajamas" - really what I hang out in the cabin in before bed - is long flannel pants and a hoodie sweatshirt, I have no issues walking around in them to the drink station or even for an early morning Cove Cafe run.

Ditto, except with gym shorts or yoga pants and t-shirt. Unless of course, exercise attire is not acceptable throughout the ship/hotel?

I did once, but it was only because I did a 2 night cruise out of NYC and since only driving wanted to bring one bag so just brought sweatpants and wore them off. I have thought about wearing pj pants off, but mine are long and baggy so don't want to get them all dirty
