Do you wait on line with the stroller?

While waiting on line for the rides, do you keep the stroller with you until it's your turn to get on the ride, or do you put the stroller aside, take baby out, and then wait on line without the stroller? I am just asking b/c I'm thinking about how heavy my dd2 is. She will not stand waiting on long lines so it would be great if she could wait in her stroller! Please share your info! Thanks...I'm just trying to plan everything as best as I can!

They have designated areas for stroller parking, so you may have to carry her sometimes. Maybe more so during the afternon when she gets cranky. At the beginning she'll be too excited.

Most of the time you need to take them out of the stroller. My suggestion is to use fast pass as much as possible and get to the parks when they open to avoid the longer lines. Depending on your daughters weight you could get one of those hip carriers to help in the lines.

We were never able to leave our kids in their strollers in line, always were asked to park in the stoller area. I think the only time my dd could stay in her stroller was on the raft ride to Tom Sawyer's island.

My daughter turned 2 on 2/26 and we were in WDW last week and for the most part she stood in the lines. She'd ask to be held sometimes, when she got tired mostly, and if my husband was in line with us he'd hold her, but if it was just me and her, well then she pretty much had to stand and she dealt with it. I'm pregnant and so I could only hold her so long before I would get exhausted myself (part of that is my husband holds her high up on his arm so now she won't let me hold her any other way, but that's very tiring) so after a few minutes she had to stand. Now, did she stand right next to me like I wanted? No, she'd move all around the line, but as long as she wasn't disturbing other people or doing anything dangerous it was fine with me.

While strollers at that age are a must, you are going to be shocked at how little time she actually spends in it - particularly in the Magic Kingdom in Fantasyland. The stroller parking is often not right near the entrance to the rides, and we found it easier - even with toddlers, to tackle one end of Fantasyland on foot, move the kids in the stroller, and do the other end on foot - rather than getting in and out of the stroller. If you look at a map, it will kind of go like this - you do Dumbo, Peter Pan, Small World, move the stroller and do Pooh, the Carrosel and Snow White (if your two year old is up to that). (It may work slightly different for you).

In Epcot or AK or MGM, she will spend much more time in the stroller, but still be prepared for some long walks. Stroller parking can be a long way from actually sitting down at the Safari, Lion King, Indiania Jones or Little Mermaid.

I know one time we took the stroller right into a ride -- well, film -- Impressions of France at Epcot. We asked the CMs if we could bring it in (with our 18 mo old daughter riding in it) and they directed us to the handicapped seating. It was great!

But as for most lines, no... better start lifting weights...
