The hall of presidents? Honestly, I am not anti-american, by any means, but I am definitely not into presidential history at all. I know this is a major attraction, but seeing as I am Canadian, and I would rather visit something to do with my Prime ministers, I have no desire to see this. I passed by it last time, and I may this time again.
What do you think of the attraction, and is it worth seeing?

I see it every trip...

Mostly because it was my fav as a kid...They all move and look so real, I thought they all were there.

If you have never seen it, it is good to try everything once. Most people, once is enough.

My DH who is not too keen on the whole "USA #1" stuff still liked it and thought it was neat to see.

Just my 2 cents:D

It's a classic to me...for a few reasons.

1. nostalgia - the hall of presidents was based on the 64-65 New York fair exhibit 'Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln'. Walt's affinity for democracy, politics and Lincoln specifically makes this a landmark attraction. It's like riding the train around the MK...it's not exciting and fast, but it's a tribute to the man who created the place.

2. attention to detail - to have all of those animatronic likenesses of every president in one place...hand stitched period clothing...subtle programing differences in each robot to add movements, reactions, etc.,....recorded speech for every current president.

3. the disneyfication of American history is either loved or hated. But I think it is unique and why miss either the AA or the HOP when you're there?

Irregardless of whether you're Pro- American or wear your Molson T-shirt down there indicating "I am Canadian", I think the point is that Disney was American, is American and is a great example of what the 'American Dream' can be. They celebrate what it means to be American through those two attractions. Wonderland or West Edmonton Mall don't have a hall of PM's and I don't know if I'd visit them if they did. It's all a matter of taste I suppose.

I think it's pretty cool...and I lived there for a year with a surplus of Pro-American viewpoints from an ample amount of guests. I still appreciate it for the 3 reasons I stated above and don't ever skip it.

Haven't done it for a long time. But if you're really hot and need a nap check it out ;)

(Been known to fall asleep in the American Adventure)

The really funny thing is, that most Canadians know more about US presidents than many of us Yanks:laughing: So maybe you all need less of a refresher :p

If you've never seen it, it is definitely worth doing. The first time I saw it, I was a teenager and new to this whole Disney thing. I came out saying "So what was so great about a bunch of guys dressed up like presidents?":p I didn't even realize they were animatronic! LOL! Needless to say the next time I was much more impressed!
We don't do it every trip, but if it's really hot outside, it has the added bonus of being a nice place for a cool break.

I don't see it every trip but as other's have posted it is interesting and a great place for a rest. I am fascinated by the animitronics, which are excellent, too.

Thanks everyone, I guess I will go to see it this time round. Now curiosity has peaked my interest. Thanks for the responses.

Lisa has seen it I never have I can't say as I really have any desire to see it mind you I wouldn't really go seeone based on our Prime ministers either. I guess we could venture in the next time we go just so I can say I have seen it mind you there are a few things I have yet to see that I will go in so I can cross them off my list way before I go to this one.
