Do you bother bringing your camcorder or use just your regular camera for pictures while cruising? This is our first cruise and would like to video (taken it every DW trip, but parks change, the ship stays the same), but not sure if it would be worth it.

We'll be taking our video camera, as well as our digital cameras, on our cruise. DH and I cruised last summer to Bermuda and at first I thought it'd be annoying to have the video camera with us, but now that we're home and DH put the video onto a DVD, it's SO nice to be able to sit and watch it. :) We video taped while we were pulling up to Bermuda for the first time and it's such beautiful footage. I definitely think it's worth it to bring the video camera if you have even a slight interest in taping :)

Just remeber to bring an extension cord with you. Not many outlets to charge things in your stateroom.

An extention cord, really? Don't they have more that one plug? I really just need one to charge the digital cam. batteries and one for the camcorder. But I suppose I wouldn't have to do both at the same time.

We brought ours, its great to drive your friends and relatives nuts or to watch and remember how great it was.

i bring the video camera, the digital and a regular 35mm. my kids laugh at me with all the camera's dangling off my neck, but once we get home their the first to ask to see all the shots and tape i took. its a pain in the neck (pun intended) but in the long run its worth it as we get to relive our vacation memories over and over again.

I was planning to take the video camera, the digital camera. the 35mm and the advantix so I could get some panaramic shots - I put them all in the camera bag so instead of a pain in the neck one shoulder is lower than the other :hyper:

The way I see it, take every opportunity to capture the special memories of your vacation! We watch our WDW videos all the time!! The ship will be a great place to tape!!! Just be sure to heed the "no filming rules" at several of the ship's venues.

Have a great trip and enjoy your tapes!!!

we always bring our video camera. never know what you will catch on video. kids will be kids.

It was the best thing I did was to bring the video camera!

I always had it on me (except when we went into port) I learned that you never knew when something was going to happen - It was aways great to have on hand!

My daughter even watched the tape on the airplane ride back home (played on the LCD screen and plugged in some headphones) That kept her quiet all the way home!

I bring my camcorder, digital camera and disposable cameras for the kids to take their own pictures. It is great having both stills and video so that we don't forget anything!
