Do you use your back wiper

I have a related question. I see lots of people with back wipers who still have the plastic on it, like they bought the car and never noticed it was there. Is there a reason for that, because it is just one of those little things that drive me crazy. I want to rip them off of all the cars I see them on.

I use it in the rain..I have a thing about having to have totally clear windows..ity drives (pun) me crazy if I can't see clear.
