Do you use your library much??

I am addicted to finding books on amazon then ordering them at the library. It is almost as fun as shopping. I get to fulfill that primeval female gathering urge and not spend any money. Does your library let you do this? We have a county wide system, so you can pretty much get any book you want.

I seem to live at the library too, especially for dvd's.Saves me rental fees:)

I never ever buy books anymore.. I have even gotten my college textbooks at the Library! Other students were upset that they didn't think of that and were surprised that you can get them there!

We can get DVD's, movies and other things at the library.
I love the interlibrary loan, I have gotten things from Vermont, Indiana, and Texas (none of these states are near mine!)

I went everyday to the library with my kids in the summer. They did so much there, and my daughter comes back with at least 10 books every time!

My township is getting a brand new library this year, and I can't wait!

Yes I always have... why should I pay 18- 20 bucks for a book?

Cindy: I love the idea of interlibrary too:) I've gotten boks from other places and love it(usually Buffy paperbacks and the like)

I LOVE our library!! So many books, so little time! :p

I also love our local library, I live in a large county with many branches. But- I am really excited at a rumor that a Barnes and Noble is opening about 10 minutes from my home. I love to browse bookstores, but rarely buy a book because they are so expensive.

When I had the time, I would go to the library. With no time now and my love for reading, it takes me forever to read a book. I'm only on Chapter 3 of a bio on Thomas Jefferson and I've been reading it since July. Good book, just not enough hours in the day to read. :(

I like taking out magazines to read during the weekend.

I like being able to reserve a copy of a new book when it is coming out. I may not get it as soon as it is available in the bookstores but I will have it soon after. Also I can read it in hardcover from the library without having to wait for it to come out in (less expensive) paperback at the bookstore.

I love the library. We also have the interlibrary where we can go online and search for the books and then put in a request if it's not at our local branch. I also enjoy being able to search at home because it saves time once I get there.

I use the library alot as well for our homeschooling and I am on first name basis with most of the ones that work at our local branch.:D

Really? I didn't think they would have textbooks. I'll have to try them next time. There's a couple I'm looking for that they aren't using at the college any more...especially the algebra book that made sense to me! The current one they're using doesn't! :( But I found it on Amazon and ordered it. Next time I'll think of the library! ;)

Sure do. I am a childrens book fanatic so I love to go to Barnes & Noble and look at the books and then go to the library and check them out. I do purchase a lot of books through DS's scholastic book fairs and the booklets they get.

I'm there every saturday afternoon:D I'm a volunteer tutor through our library's New Citizens Center. For about 5 or 6 years I've been teaching adults who are new to this country how to speak English:D I usually find time to check out a few books while I'm there. Right now I'm reading The Dirty Girls Social Club, Calvin Trillon's Travels With Alice, Mafia Wife, and a travel book on the Caribbean:D Happy reading everyone!!!!

I'm lucky enough to live 4 blocks from our town library. As a single mom, this is a god-send! They have everything there; books, tapes, videos, dvds, fax machines, copiers...there's even game systems set up on the children's floor where you can sign up to play. We love our local library!:)

I love our library. I get books on tape for trips and check out movies for my dD during the summer. Not to meantion all the books I check out. OUr library about every 3 months have a friends of the library book sell where people donate used books to be sold. You can get hardback best sellers for $1.00. Most paperbacks are $.25. I forgot about the sell last weekend and could just kick myself.

We love the library! We go to storytime every Tues. The kids are read books and do a craft. SO much fun. Also a great resource for things to do on the drive to Disney, books on tape, CDs or tapes, books and movies. It is awesome and free!!!!

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

I love the library. I think its one of our countries greatest underused treasure. Our town has a wonderful library and very few people make use of it. If they only knew what they were missing. I don't have the time to read like I use to, but I use books on cd and tapes.

Use both the county library and the college (where i work) library all the time. I am so excited since my campus is talking about a joint use facility with the county...I could go to one place for both.

Also love to give the library books I no longer want. Some they put in circulation, some they sell at their books sales. It is a great way to help out the libraries and other who love to read as much as I do.
