I ran into Target on the way to work this morning, ended up using the restroom. It was empty and I don't know why but I used the handicap stall. I heard someone come in and stand outside the stall, when I came out there was a lady in her 50's maybe with a cane giving me serious evil eye.

Made me wonder if anyone else uses the handicap stall or if you're opposed? If I have Baker and Hallie w/ me I usually will so I can push the stroller in.

I will use it if no one is waiting and there is none other available.

I only use it if the other stalls are full. I also use it if DD wants to share a bathroom with me.

I usually always use it if no one is waiting. It is always much cleaner than the other stalls.

I view them as handicapped accessible, not handicapped reserved. If it is the only stall available and no one else is around who truly needs it, I will use it. If there is someone waiting who needs it, I will wait and let them use it.

At work, I do use the handicap stall. That way I can get far enough away to not get 'splashed' by the flush (OK maybe too much TMI but this is a real pet peeve of mine!).

When I'm out and about, I do not use the handicap stall unless I have a good reason, like in the airport when I have luggage that must stay with me or if there's a huge line and that's the next available stall and no handicapped person needs it.

Handicapped stalls are not the same as parking spaces. Anyone can use them. Yes, I do use handicapped stalls. I used them all the time when I was pregnant or when I had my kids with me. If I'm on my own, I won't use them unless it's the only one available.

I always use them if I'm out somewhere with Paul in the stroller - mall, Disney, etc. That way I can just push him in there with me and I don't have to worry about him touching everything, crawling around on the floor, and all of that while I'm trying to pee! Also, around here anyway, the diaper changing stations are often inside the handicapped stalls.

I use it if there is nobody in there or there is nobody waiting. I used to have knee problems where my knee would give out with no notice. Hasn't happened in the past year but I am always aware of it and falling in the bathroom is not something I want to do so having the bar there helps.

I will use it if there are no others available. If we leave a stall open, then the line just grows and the handicapped person cannot get into the restroom to use it.

Yes! I frequently use the Handicapped restroom stall.

SAME THING for dressing room stalls!

I agree that it is handicapped accessable, NOT handicapped reserved.

If the restroom is busy, then I especially see no reason why women should stand and wait while a stall remains unused.

I see no reason why a handicapped person have special priviledges, and should not have to wait for a few moments for their turn.

I use them all the time since I have two little ones with me. I can't fit their double stroller in a regular stall and I WILL NOT leave them unattended.

happybratpack-I'm so glad you are keeping your princess' ethnic name. It will give her a connection to her ethnic background.

Yes - if no one needs it - the regular ones are often just too small to go in with a kid - mine is getting a little old for that, but we can usually be a little quicker if we trade off that way.

If someone came in that needed it - I would do everything possible to hurry for them.

I use it if the other stalls are full and there's no obviously disabled person in line behind me. Otherwise, no. I'll always use the non-HA stalls as my first choice.

Sure I use it. I view it like a handicapped room at a hotel. It is designed to be accessible the for handicapped but is available for everyone.

Yep I have used them in the past and will use them in the future.

I take DD in the restroom with me and it is easier for two us to go into the larger stall.

I normally don't take it if I am alone and the other stalls are available.

I agree with the others Accessible is not the same as reserved.

I use them when I have Nicole with me. It makes it easier to maneuver w/2 of us. If I am by myself, I will use it if it is the only one available.

Yes, I use it alot now with Noah in the stroller. Alot of places have the diaper changing station in the handicap stall, so I have no choice. If dh is with me and can watch Noah, me and DD (6) will go in the single stalls. I used a handicap dressing room also the other day. It was one of those places where they have someone back there counting the items you take in and she took me to it.

Yes, I use them and have never understood the mentality behind people who think it's like a hadicapped parking space. If I see someone who needs it in the bathroom, it's theirs, otherwise, it's an open stall to use just like all the rest.
