I never have, and never will.

I do and my kids do - when we're at the gym and the kids come out of the playroom I always use the hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall. I don't use it all day long everyday, but MIL is living with us and she is getting Chemo treatments so I don't want to bring any unnecessary germs into the house if I can avoid it.

I'm with you. I've never used them and doubt I ever would. Don't like the smell of them. I much prefer soap and water.

Not regularly but I do use the wipes for DS. I use them after we go to large public places. The minute he is in the car his thumb goes in his mouth. I know that his thumb is in and out of his mouth all the time but I try to be a little clean about it. It's also more difficult to wash a toddlers hands all the time so I use it at those times as well. I will use it on myself if we are out and about and I feel particularly germy.

ETA: DS has very clearly caught a few colds/viruses of the last few years at the daycare at the gym and gymboree so we use them when we leave there, no question.

Yup, especially before eating when camping or hiking and other times we may not have access to running water and soap.

I use them at WDW and antibacterial wipes to wipe down our table at CS places.

Yes I use them. I use it as soon as I leave the gym or grocery store, then come home and wash my hands. I would use it in WDW or someplace like that after touching handrails or before eating. I'm not fanatical about it but if I can't use soap and water than Purell me baby!! My kids also know that evrytime they come in the house from school, they must wash their hands. immediately.

Yes, I alternate washing my hands and hand sanitizer at work. Otherwise my hands become a dry, cracked, bleeding mess.

I use the alcohol based ones frequently. They don't promote the "superbugs" and they make me feel cleaner.

We are also religious hand washers. Whenever we come home, everyone washes hands. We don't get sick much so it must at least help.

yes, we do. I especially have to use them after getting my food from a counter service type place or buffets, condiments or after I touch menus before I eat. Our gym does have it on the counter for after workouts and handling equipment. DD uses it at school since our city has had numerous problems with staph at various schools and school systems. Too many kids went to the hospital and a few to Childrens.

I teach so I use it all the time. Probably 6-7 times a day.

Rarely, we usually just use soap & water. However, after my youngest was born, I made everyone use it for awhile. She was born when everyon e was sick, and got bronchilitis shortly after birth. Then she got RSV (she was early, so that was pretty scary), then another cough. She's 4 mo old and not even 10 lbs yet since she keeps getting sick. She's now recovering from a stomach bug. We should probably use it more again to try and keep that poor baby from getting anything else.

Occasionally, but not if soap and water is available instead. If the sanitizer has any perfumey smell to it at all, I can't use it because it immediately sets off a sneezing fit. And I also have to avoid getting it on the skin around my nails or else it dries the skin out and it almost immediately start to peel and crack. I just put it on the palms and non-nail parts of my finger tips if I must use it.

I try to wash my hands, but I do use Purell if there isn't soap and water available.

I have some in the car and in my purse, and I use it all the time if there isn't soap and water around.
