DH and I are staying onsite for the first time in Feb!!! We're at POP and very excited! (Esp. after the hotel debacle we've been dealing with!!) So now we'll be able to use EMH - do you all use them? Are they worth it? Are the crowds crazy?

We go from time to time, especially to EMH mornings. It looks as if you'll be there presidents day week and that will be a bit busy so the EMH(especially evening) will probably be somewhat crowded, but at worst you go and then decide to leave- you've really lost nothing.

We are staying onsite for the first time this year and we count on using EMH as much as possible!

We're doing some EMH morning this summer when we go. Just at Animal Kingdom, and the second day we go to Magic Kingdom. When we go to both Epcot and the Studios, the morning EMH are the day before so I am anticipating somewhat less of a crowd, but who knows...it is summer and busy season.

Here's what I figured...the day we arrive, we will head to MK around lunchtime when we get there (and there are no EMH at all that day)...Epcot actually has the EMH that day. We are heading to Epcot the next day for park opening, which is the same day there are EMH at the Studios. Since we are doing breakfast at 8:05 at the Studios anyway, we can't take advantage of morning EMH attractions before regular park opening, so we figured avoid the crowds instead and get into the park early anyway for our breakfast. AK is morning EMH and the last day there are morning EMH at MK so we are taking advantage of those. This is our first family trip to WDW, and both DH and my first trip staying on property. SO we are "experimenting" a little to see how it works out and keep it in mind for future trips. Kids are really little so we are not even worried about evening EMH yet!

Enjoy your trip!

We always use the morning EMH, not so much at night unless we see it isn't too crowded.

While I can't comment on the February crowds, I can tell you that we've used both the extra morning and the extra evening hours in June.

We absolutely loved the extra morning at the water park. We were able to do everything in Typhoon Lagoon by 1:00 p.m. About that time, the park was getting really crowded so we left.

We thoroughly enjoyed the extra evening hours at the Magic Kingdom. We got to stay in the park until 2:00 a.m.! We rode everything over and over again with hardly any waits.

There were only a handful of places open to purchase snacks/drinks.

We love doing the EMH's. My favorite PM's are AK and MGM. AK seems like a completely different park in the dark, very beautiful and not as hot and sticky as it always seems during the day. All of the mornings are great. You can get so many of the headliners out of the way during that first hour. Just make sure you leave the park by noon because they do tend to get extra packed on the EMH days.

I too am planning to use the morning EMH on our 2nd day at MK (in July) with late breakfast at CM at 11:00. Plan was to then go rest back at the resort then back at MK late afternoon/early evening and stay for parade/fireworks. Will this work or should we just avoid the park completely on that day. I have base MYW tickets so no hopping.

We prefer and use the evening EMHs. Never was and never will be a morning person.

The best advice that we got was to use (if you are morning people) the EMH for the morning. What tends to happen with the Evening EMH is that the park tends to be over-crowded until the point when the EMH starts. We have usually taken this time to be somewhere else.
