Over the years we have accumulated a bunch of DVC & Disney items. I just found a Disney shopping bag, sort of tucked away in our laundry room from our last vacation July 2010. When I opened the bag, I found a pair of Disney parks beach towels, but between them was a Old Key West unframed but matted picture. When I look around my home, I have many reminders from varoius Disney trips, many many coffee mugs, many Christmas decorations, and it made me wonder.

Do people display there Disney momento's scattered throughout the house, or do you have a DVC or a specific resort or Disney themed room. Do you have a shelf for your DVC / Disney coffee mugs.

I have many DVC, OKW, Disney hats...... makes me want to put up a hat rack to display them.

In our master bathroom we have Mickey & Minnie mirrors over our sinks. We purchased these locally many years ago.

We have a cabinet in our kitchen filled with mugs.....would love a creative way or idea to display them. Plus we could free up a good sized cabinet.

Please share what you do!

We have Disney merchandise all over our house. My DH was into the Star Wars Big Figs, so we purchased them as well as a few others.

Every Christmas we have a family Christmas tree and then we have a Disney Christmas tree. From the tree skirt, to the ornaments, to the lights everything is Disney.

I have a bag like that in my laundry room too! Need to go through it and see what's there. There's a Star Wars Yoda thing/hologram from last year's SWW!

We have mugs on the kitchen and a little display on top of the fridge with the Alice tea cup and tea pot.

One kids' bathroom is dedicated to the Mouse....clock on the wall, towels, a lithograph and a few odds and ends (ie. backscratcher). The shower wall above the tub used to have gel Mickey heads in a pattern but my youngest toddler pulled all the ears off.

My dh's office also has some things dispalyed, as well as things stored. A photo of our family on a DCL cruise, my ds' "first haircut" Mickey ears, a box with everyone's lanyards, plus all of our KTTW cards from various trips.

That's about it!!!

Walt and Mickey greet us every time we walk in the front door.

I have a Disney Bedroom (guestroom), other than that I just have a very few Disney Item scattered through the house...like Mickey Napkin ringlholders. Here's pic's of our Disney Guest Room.

We have Disney everywhere in and outside our house. From the trailer-hitch on the car to the gardens (to include statues, birdbaths, windchimes...). Even my outside porch light has Mickey on it (from the catalog a long time ago) and our personalized home address sign has Mickey next to our name. What can I say? My DH use to work for the Disney Catalog Outlet store and during the 8 years he was there, he never came home empty handed. Add the 5-6 trips to WDW a year during those CM days and the visits to cast connection and property control (we use to have to buy extra luggage to get stuff home). We don't have alot of DVC stuff, but we have lots of Cast Member stuff. It's sad because I have art work sitting around because I ran out of walls a long time ago. Now that I'm retired, I've been spending my days trying to sell some of our huge collection on ebay. I can honestly say, I will never run out of things to sell and this is just things we don't use and it doesn't even dent the things I don't plan to get rid of (5 curios cabinets of WDCC, Lenox, Jim Shore, Royal Dalton, Armani, Ron Lee and more) ......everytime I open a closet or a box, it's like Christmas because I never remember him bringing most of this stuff home. And don't get me started on beanies or pins!!!! Ugh -- sometimes you can have too much stuff. And the biggest purchase of all was when he found out the catalog stores were closing in August 2005, we purchased our DVC membership with a CM discount too! ;)

That mirror is exactly like my Mickey mirror. Our Minnie mirror has a red pokodot hat between the ears.

Love the guest room.....I would imagine that people would love staying in that room.

I love finding things that I just forgot about.

Very little. We have the lithograph from last falls member webcast (sales webinar) - the castle - framed and in our daughter's room. She loves the castle and has a pink room so it actually fit well.

We also have the 2010 Member Mixer ornament on our tree (we don't go in December often, so first time we've gotten one).

As far as general Disney stuff, not a lot. I have a "My other car is a monorail" sticker I haven't decided if I'm putting on the van yet and we have two full size posters 1) Disney Wonder inaugural season and 2) Disney Magic framed on our living room wall. We've sailed on each and both are signed by the Captain. Hope to get our Disney Dream poster in 2012 to add to the collection. Followed by the Fantasy sometime between 2012-2020.

That's really it other than the stuffed Mickey, Minnie, Figment and such that our daughter has.

We just returned from cruising on the Dream and we were given something daily from DVC. They gave us rather large prints that were really beautiful. They were retro, simple illustrations of the ship and another one of the castle. We will certainly be framing those.

Our gym/media room is almost entirely Disney and it is so much fun to be in!

I'm JJT219

I change out stuff all of the time. Lately it's been some DVC things I've accummulated over the years, you just never know. This week I sold 4 fanny packs...they seem to be popular. I'm saving up to take the grandkids (and their folks) on a cruise next April.

Different people have different tastes. I would hate having a bunch of DVC/Disney merchandise or decorations in my home. It is fun while we are AT Disney but I wouldn't want to live with it.

That is exactly what I wanted to know.

I would decorate much more if I thought I could get away with it, but I get coments now from family and friends, so I stop thinking about more Disney decorating and have learned to be happy with what my wife has allowed.

Sounds like you need a mancave or, in your case, a Disneycave. It is your home too and if you want a room decorated the way you want it is your right. My mancave has a classy movie theatre theme. I explained to my wife what I was looking for and she helped me realize my dream. We had to travel around a bit and do some extensive internet searching but I was finally able to put it all together.

My wife makes the majority of decisions with some input from me on the rest of the house which reflects her and mostly her tastes but I deserve a space too and that is what the whole mancave movement is about. I love our home but I really really love my mancave.

yeah, i have a beach club villas bedspread on the guest bed. an OKW watercolor on the living room wall. a GF armoire and shower curtain. (doesn't count until the VGF is announced formally, i know...)

i try to keep it a little more subtle...but there are a few things...

I am right behind you on this......I need a Disneycave!

Now I just need to ask my wife if its okay? :rotfl2:

Actually as I look around my home, we have Disney reminders in almost every room. DW enjoys Disney almost as much as I do, and if I offer a plan, she will usually agree with it........but its when I want to just add something and it just doesn't fit with the style that is already there......thats when I can get myself in trouble.

Just wanting to see what everyone else does......scattered throughout the house, or a themed room.

Thinking about making mouse heads on my front porch. All my old ballisters are rotted out and was thinking they would be easy to replace with wood panels below the railing with mickey heads.....if I get the ambition I will do a samble then get DW's approval.

We have a taste of Disney in every room of our apartment. DH loves Disney as much as I do and it is the one decorating point we don't argue about. It does however look like a bunch of kids live here rather than a couple of almost 30 year olds.

My family room is my Disney room. My favorite piece is a parks sign of Cinderella castle from Disneyland's 50th that I bought from Mousesurplus. I also have framed prints from DVDs I bought pre-order several years ago, a framed litho+ pin from a package one year, and my framed stock certificate.

I have the opening dedication for Disneyland plaque. Somewhere I have a key for the MK and HM, but I'll be darned if I know where! I used to have two Mickey Mouse club pillows and a Bambi one, but they succumbed to puppy teething...

One of these days I'll get around to framing my marathon medals into a shadow box: I have three Donalds, a Mickey, Sleeping Beauty castle, and the Coast to Coast medal. Oh, and framing the DVC giclee and lithos. I guess I have work to do this summer!

I have alot..I've sold alot but there is really still plenty. I wish I could have a Disney room (my friend has a glorious one) but I can't figure out how to really make it work. I have a large 5 piece bookshelf/curio shelf set where I try to not have it completely overun with Disney things and books. I have alot of artwork also which has mainly ended up in my crafts room..I have a ginormous 1966 park map that my husband framed for me for a birthday in there and it would look so nice in a real Disney themed room. In the front room by the display shelves I have some family pictures of trips, all the grands's silhouettes, lanyards with pins from our ABD. My prize piece is a Charles Boyer very large Mickey drawing Walt self portrait LE. I used to get WDCC but I feel they ruined that line by overproducing. I should really focus on Disneyland/Walt since that is my true love, but now people are giving me Jim Shore which I alo really like..what to do!! :) There is alot of Disney though the entire house, actually..just went onto the kitchen for more coffee (in a Mickey Christmas mug) and noticed a Mickey Cookie jar, spoon rest and trivet. Oh well.

I am sure you will get every answer because different people have different tastes. I count 4 pieces of Disney memorabilia on display in our entire home. The idea of a heavy Disney themed decorating seems tacky to us but that doesn't mean it isn't right for someone else. The only thing that is right is that you enjoy your own home. I doubt our home would win any decorating contests but that was never the goal. The only opinions that matter are the ones that pay for the mortgage.
