I have a question, when staying at Pop do you rent a cooler for just milk for cereal or do you bring a fold up cooler if flying down?
We will be at Pop in Oct and I will Only need the refridg for Milk and creamer and wondered what other people do. Is there an ice machine and is it worth getting ice every day just to keep Milk cold with out paying to rent a refridgerator???
Thanks

We have used a cooler for milk and used the ice machines to get the ice.

Can you buy a cooler between airport and disney? Myself I hate those collaspable things they call coolers unless I using the ice packs that don't leak. Each to their own tho.

Yes there is a ice machine on every floor I believe near the elevators.

We drive down take a hard cooler rather large at that. Usually have to add more ice morning and night. DH takes care of the ice doesn't seem to mind it would rather get ice than pay for fridge.

I would suggest taking something to put the ice in to get it back to the room so ya don't have to carry cooler to the ice machine. DH uses a walmart bag or something like that nothing fancy.

It sounds nasty but works in a pinch DH and I often travel and have NO COOLER and have even went so far as to use one of the garbage cans for an overnight cooler leave the clean garbage bag in can put a few pops in fill with ice then put the tray that holds the plastic cups on top. Don't think I'd want to do that for a week tho.

We have a cooler on wheels that we use as a carry on bag. Then we bring zip lock bags for the ice...just in case it leaks. We use this whenever we travel. We check the cooler and use it for shoes to get there...and on the way home we carry it on and put breakables. We paid between 15/20 dollars for it.

We have the luxury of driving....I am picking up one of these:

Plugs into 12V cigarette lighter in car, and has AC power cord. NO ICE NEEDED!!!!

Someone on the boards suggested putting the ice in Ziplock bags to prevent your items from getting so wet once the ice melts. Tried this on a trip to the mountains last weekend & it works great. Sweats a little, but nothing like the ice melt.

I've done an overnight kindof thing in the sink, doesn't work all that well, but it was only for soda/water for the am. Milk, probably not a good idea, the ice definately melts! :rotfl: What type if any, of foods do the gift shops have? Like milk, juice, bread? Or do you just get it from the food court area and bring back to your room? We are not renting a car, so I'm not sure how to go about getting to a grocery store. I'm sure I can find a way to be creative and pack somethings to take from home, but the obvious, you'll need to get there.

we stopped at the grocery store, we bought 2 styrofoam coolers and this worked great for us, we just kept dumping the water and filling with ice, we have that portable fridge(plug in) that works AWESOME we used it when we drove, we are hoping to be able to bring in on the airplane, we'll see...
