Do you unpack or live out of a suitcase?

I NEVER unpack my stuff. Hubby ALWAYS unpacks his. Guess that is what happens when an English major (me) marries an Engineer (him) but . . . seems to work. (Celebrating 10 years next week .) The girls only unpack what they don't want wrinkled--they just want to hit the parks and the pool!

Looking forward to our first December trip and our first stay at WL!

My dh and I don't unpack, but after reading what everyone else does, I am going try the unpacking thing on our trip in early November.

I MUST unpack. I think it's a compulsion. If we're going to be someplace literally only over night (e.g. in the hotel room a total of 8 hours) I don't unpack; otherwise I unpack immediately. When I'm paying $$$$ for a room, I want it to look as neat and tidy as possible.

DW is very type A. She unpacks as soon as we arrive, including all her toiletries. She has a shoe storage bag she hands on the bathroom door and everything goes into its assigned spot. I have stayed at WDW for 9 nights without unpacking mine.

I unpack and DW lives out of her suitcase.

We unpack. I just can't deal with pawing through the suitcase trying to find something. I very much like to settle in and put the suitcases in the corner somewhere. If there are just two of us, we do spread maps, books, etc., out on the top of the other bed.

We always unpack - I think it's easier to find everything. We put the empty suitcase in the closet and put the dirty clothes in it everyday. That way the clothes are ready to go home (or to the laundry room half way through the stay!)

So far I've never unpacked out of my suitcase because I've only stayed a couple nights. Plus I know if I do unpack I'd probably end up forgetting something!

Unpack the suitcase is one of the first things I do, even if just for a short 2 night stay. Like the other posters, I really do dislike scrounging through the suitcase looking for something to wear. My one and only anal tendency. LOL

I definitely unpack--- 1st thing!... living out of a suitcase is a real pain, especially since my DH and I usually share one. Why waste all of that drawer space. We usually have 2 drawers each and one for the dirty clothes.

I don't usually unpack...I'm very wierd about germs. Maybe I'll do the lysol wipes and unpack this year. We usually only put away hanging clothes.

I unpack for anything over 2 nights, and fold up dirty clothes and put them in the suitcase as I go. This makes it easier if I have to find something to send out while in hotel, and makes sorting easier when I get home.

I hang up my clothes first thing because they usually get wrinkled in the suitcase. After you hang them up, the wrinkles tend to fall out. I usually leave my socks and underwear in bags in the suitcase.
