Do you try to make different ADRs for every trip?

We would love to eat at every restaurant on property at least once so we're trying to make different ones every time, but it's hard when you find one that you love!

We don't have an ADR for Crystal palace breakfast this trip and I'm sad but there's so many that I want to try.

Does anyone else have this problem?

We have been trying to make each trip different and so we always try to visit new restaurants and stay at different resorts. For our next trip we are doing all new restaurants but one, Akerhaus. DD and I loved the Princess breakfast on our last trip so we're taking DH there this time. Hopefully we'll enjoy our new dining experiences!

No we don't have that problem.

With every trip (anywhere from 7-11 nites) we have our "USUALS" that we must do: Chef Mickey's, Tutto Italia, & Yachtman.

We also try a few new ones each trip. DD & I have to look over the menus & pick out some new places for our next trip.

We always say we are going to venture out and try new places, but after we're done booking all of our "must-do"s there is only room for one or two new restaurants! :rotfl: We are SUCH creatures of habit in this house!

We do try and squeeze some places in we haven't tried yet.... But there are always ones that are on our Must Do (again) list.... At this point our "Must do again" are Crystal Palace, Narcoosee's... so not so bad for a whole week of eating.

Normally we only repeat one or two of our favorites from year to year and then add new ones. Last year our repeats were LeCellier and Coral Reef. This year we are taking a year off from them and trying some new places like Spoodles and Nine Dragons and maybe Prime Time @ DHS...but we will revisit some old favorites that we haven't been to in a few years like Kona and Chef Mickeys.
Some places we have never tried but hold no appeal to us like France, and others we did once and probably won't go back for quite a while, like Norway for dinner or Rose & Crown. So I guess..we are a combination of everything.

We have our favorites and then we try to do at least one "new" (at least to us) restaurant each trip, or one that we haven't done in a long time.

In July we tried the Wave and Tutto Italian and loved them both, In February we went back to the Grand Floridian Cafe (hadn't been there in a few years). This upcoming trip we're trying Raglan Road for the first time.

We still have our "favorite - must-dos" for us they are - Cape May Buffet Breakfast, Princess Storybook Breakfast, Crystal Palace Breakfast, Ohana, Liberty Tree Tavern, Sci-Fi and Biergarten.

Other ones we rotate.

As others, we always go to our must returns and then also put in a few new ones.

If it were up to me, I would try all new restaurants, but hubby and son are picky eaters and want to do the same ones every time.

We are trying the DDP for the first time. I am happy because I now can book more new TS we have not tried yet:cool1:

We also have a set of "can''t miss" places, and we always try some new places.
For example, in November we went to
WCC dinner (we always go here on our arrival night)
Kona dinner (new for us this trip, good, but not a "can't miss")
50s PT lunch (we have been and enjoy it but only go some trips)
Cali Grill dinner (just DH and I, never had been and always wanted to try, won't go again, but it was nice to try)
Chef Mickey's dinner (we always go here for Thanksgiving dinner)
CRT breakfast (another can't miss for us)
LeCellier lunch (new and soooooo good!, a new can't miss)
Akerhaus dinner (new for us and DH's favorite dinner-we enjoyed it and would like to go again, but maybe not a "can't miss")
Chef Mickey's breakfast (have done on every single trip and will never miss, we always do it on our last day right after we check out:guilty: )

So, it was a mix and it is a nice way to try some new things but still have your favorites.

In my next two trips, I have 11 ADRS, and only one is a repeat. Brown Derby. The only reason for this is that I am going with a girlfriend who has always wanted to eat there. My experience last time was fabulous, so I don't mind.

If I was given my choice, I would try every restaurant at Disney. My DBF is picky and once he finds a place, and he likes to stick to places he knows and likes. That means Le Cellier is a must, California Grill is desired, but not always a must do. (Only if we can see wishes!)

This means DBF is not going with me on either trip!

This trip we are actually only trying one new place. Our "can't miss" list has grown to 6 places! So, that only left room to try 1 new one. We decided to try Tusker House. :thumbsup2

Our "can't miss" ones are:
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Tutto Italia (dinner)
Le Cellier (lunch and dinner - We're doing it twice!)
Crystal Palace (dinner)
Teppan Edo (dinner)
Sci-Fi (lunch)

We have some must-do's but I always try to sneak in something new each time. Sometimes this means skipping a favorite, but there is always a chance we will find a new favorite. If not, we know where not to go next time :thumbsup2

We usually go with a few of our favorites and a few new ones as well.

We will be going back to our favorites from last year and also adding some new places.

We're going to all new places in May. The only one from Oct. we wanted to repeat was Hollywood Brown Derby, but I couldn't get a dinner ADR late enough for us. We're going to Jiko instead, which is also new to us.

We are trying to eventually stay everywhere and dine everywhere on property so while we occasionally go back to an old favorite we are more likely to go someplace new- we normally are only there for a couple of days so we might only go to 1-2 places each time- maybe not getting to any we have been before.

We usually stay for 10 days so we are able to experience quite a few restaurants on each trip. We do like to try at least a few new places each time but we have our faves that we always go to like Le Cellier and 50's prime time

Like just about everyone here, we try to do a mix. Next trip, I'm trying the new restaurant, Sanaa, and Spoodles for the first time (as well as Mythos, at Universal IoA... shhh...). We're also eating at 'Ohana, Rose and Crown, Whispering Canyon, Boma, and California Grill -- all old favorites.

Mom and dad are going down ahead of the brothers and I, and those jerks are eating at all new restaurants without us! :upsidedow

They're going to the Grand Floridian Cafe, Citricos, the Wave, and the Yatchsman Steakhouse. *jealous*

We mix it up. We have our favorites that we do every year like Narcoossee's (Surf and Turf :lovestruc ), but we also make it a point to try several new places to eat each year. That's how we find our new favorites and cross off the restaurants we don't want to re-visit. We find that's the best way to have your cake and eat it too...pun INTENDED!

We always do our three must do's (LeCellier, Crystal Palace--breakfast, Plaza). We then always try to add one or two new ones per trip and then fill in with old standbys. We've had success and failure with this. We've tried, based on menus/reviews, etc., Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner, Cape May Cafe (breakfast and dinner), Boatwrights for dinner, Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch and Yak & Yeti for lunch. WCC and Boatwright's were total failures and we won't be going back; the others were hits and we'll be adding Yak & Yeti as a new must do every trip. This year we are trying Boma for breakfast, Spoodles for dinner and Ohanas for dinner.
