Do you tip for maintenance?

I guess your bar for "benefit of the doubt" is different than mine - NBD.

But...

If you meant to leave a tip for the guy working on the fan in the bathroom, wouldn't you leave the tip on the bathroom counter where he is working?
near people’s tooth brushes? In the value rooms the counter and bathroom are an arms length away

You missed my point. You can’t turn these fans off. They do it on their own based on a sensor situation and they stay running for a time after you leave the bathroom.
Mine had run for several hours before I called and asked how to turn it off. The first guy that came said it has been a problem since the POFQ refurb and they were fixing them as they became aware. However, he couldn't fix it that night, so arranged for maintenance to come by in the morning while I was out of the room.

No employee should be fired for this, that’s ridiculous. Disney has absolutely no qualms placing guests in rooms that have issues or are next to rooms under going active construction, so to go and fire employees over things Disney fines acceptable in other situations is ridiculous and unfair.
Lol..you don't think the employee who left the bathroom in that manner should be fired? Are you kidding? That worker USED their toilet and couldn'teven be bothered enough to flushit, left dirty/wet stuff in the bathroom etc. Even with nothing else that is absolutely no one I would ever want as an employee..
or someone in my room.
