Do you tip at the Dolphin for housekeeping?

Just wanted to know if everyone tipped the housekeepers, even
at the Dolphin?

IF so how much? I thought $2 a day might be okay?

Is the Dolphin different somehow than other hotels? Im not trying to be funny, just curious....it is a service job, so you are supposed to tip. You can always leave what you feel comfortable leaving, I leave about 5 a day.

Minky is right..if you tip at disney hotels..you will really want to tip at the Dolphin...the rooms and service are superior to disney resorts. You tip based on the amount of people, how much work needs to be done in the room each day, etc.

I found the maid service at the Dolphin to be very good. We always had a clean room and extra towels when we came back around 1pm. We tipped $4 a day (2 people).

I tip at any hotel i stay in - the cleaners are paid minimum wage and deserve more.

i should said yes we do tip, i just wanted to know how much everyone else tips. that is all.

We stayed at the Dolphin for 9 nights in early June. We found the daily maid service to be very good.
How much did we tip each day? ZERO
If they get minimum wage and do what they are supposed to do, I don't tip. If they do extra, I tip.
(If they were to get below minimum wage and rely on tips, that would be different)

I tip $5 a day regardless of what hotel I'm at. I tip at the Hampton Inn just as much as the Polynesian.
