I'm having a moonbounce party for my son on Monday at a local moonbounce place. On the paperwork it states that gratuities are optional but greatly appreciated. In my opinion the party is costing alot of money anyway, and I feel the tip should be included. If everyone tips and that is customary then i'll give in and tip. My question is, do people generally tip at these places and if so, how much?

I think it depends on the service you get. I had a moonbounce party last year when DD turned 5. There were 2 attendants during the party who kind of walked around and played with the kids a bit. Then we went to the party room where we had pizza and cake. There was only one attendant there for 25 kids. She worked hard and fast to provide the pizza and juice for all the kids, cleaned it up, cut the cake and served it to all the guest including the parents. I didn't have to do anything. In my opinion she deserved a tip. I think I tipped her $30 and she was very grateful.

You're going to get a whole variety of answers here. Are these parties a little overpriced? Sure, but that's not the employees' fault. I put myself in the shoes of the worker. All of the employees at the moonbounce place were high school students. If they are working hard, then I'll tip them. I'm sure they'd appreciate what you can give.

As PP said, it depends how much they do. I've had paries at several venues, at most I tip becuse the attendants are very hands on and helpful. I had a party at McD's once and the lady did no games or anything. She did not get a tip.
If all they are doing is standing there while you run the party then No. If they are running the party while you help then Yes

Our girl scout troop had an event at an indoor water park and they gave us a hostess during the food time. She did pour some drinks, but we had moms helping to pass out the pizza and some of the drinks. We just couldn't stand there watching her do everything and it was taking way to long. We did not tip her, even though the form they gave us said gratuity was appreciated. All the girls cleaned up their own messes, too.
I probably would not tip unless they did something out of the ordinary. Tipping everyone is getting out of hand.
