Do you think we had a particularly hard winter?

I mean.....has anyone noticed all the posts about people relocating to Orlando area or FL in general? It seems that each day there is someone else inquiring about moving to FL! There won't be anyone left in the rest of the N.E. if everyone moves south!! :teeth:

Anyway, just wondered if you feel you had a particularly rough winter where you'd also be tempted to move to warmer climate?

If it were up to me & my DH could find a job to support us in the way we're living here & can get me the same type of house we have here, I'd move back to So. CA in a heartbeat! Where would you go if there were no job limits or $$ issues?

NO. The last HARD winter was in 1978. I just hate the cold. We are looking to relocate to Florida and that's my happy place, not just because of DISNEY. My other happy place is Mexico.

I would move out of Illinois in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, my hubby will not move. He loves it here. I HATE winter!

Yes, I would go. I would love to be able to go for the winter and come back to my pond in the summer. Maybe someday, my hubby will agree to that :)

This morning I was just talking to someone and telling them what a mild winter I feel we have had. We had snow on the ground for about 2-3 weeks and that was our only major snow fall. I feel very blessed by the weather we have had in KY.

No I don't think so. We are trying to get to Florida because bottom line DH's job. St Louis Mo is very boring, cold winters & hot weather... not too mention the fact that the job market is shrinking here. Companies are leaving and that is scary because dh is in sales.

My family is here but eveyone works (very busy) and except for my mom we only see relatives on special occasions. After 13yrs, it is not enough to keep me here anymore.

And yes I would LOVE to go to CA too! He did get an offer in San Francisco & Sacramento BUT we couldn't afford to live there. I would like to end up there. We will see.

Ill start by saying I hate winter big time, but I think so far we have been really lucky. We had a couple big storms in December, but after that weve hardly had any snow. Yes, it was really cold, and we even broke some records, but you dont have to shovel cold...or look at, and there are ways around it. I dont like to be cold(and I always am), but snow is what really drains me. So, overall, no, I think we had an easy winter here in MA.
Oh and it is snowing now, but this is just supposed to be a dusting...another big storm has missed us. :D

I'm with CamColt on this one. January was brutally cold but that's been it. I just think that by this time of year, we're all just sick and tired of piling on the clothes and looking at all the bare trees, and we tend to whine!

I don't think our winter was particularly harsh. Of course, I've never been happy about any snow but living in Michigan, I've come to accept it ;)

I wouldn't say particularly hard. January was cold though. I don't knw that I'd want to live in Florida year round, but I'd sure love to be there for Janaury and February!

December was unseasonally warm, January was seasonally cold, February was a bit warmer that usual, and snowfall has been on the lighter side, probably less than 30 or so inches cumulative for the year.

Not particularly here. But it ain't over yet;)
If I had my druthers, I would be in Arizona or So California

Today is the warmest day in four months. It got into the low 70's.
I hope I don't have to endure another winter here.

Our winter wasn't all that bad. I just hate winter.
If I had the chance, I'd move to FL in a heartbeat.

Well when i decided to come to school in Indiana everyone back home in Massachusetts said oh you better get ready for snow and cold weather.

WELL it was not too bad of a winter here and back home it was
-45 degrees for the month of January.

Now spring in Indiana makes me nervous

Our winter was hard - it snowed here once! Luckily it was up by Memphis and didn't actually reach our town. I'm looking forward to the spring tornados in Oklahoma! :p

Here in Western PA, January was very bad. We had 2 or 3 bouts of freezing rain followed by very cold temps, which formed rock hard ice on everything. We had above average snowfall too, I think close to 60" for the winter. Rock salt was scarce. It's pretty much gone now except for parking lots that had big piles. We had a record high of 78 last Friday! Then today was in the 30's all day.

If money were no object, I'd be traveling all over! And I think I would probably stay in Aruba for six months during the winter season here. But the other six months I would travel. :teeth:

I don't like winter...I don't like cold. Anything below 30 to me is brutal! I'm a tropical kind of gal! I like warm climate. Winter is never my forte. My plan is still on for Florida.
